Hypogonadism & upgrading of low-risk PCa.
New meta-analysis below [1]. By now, the association of low testoterone with more serious PCa has been established IMO. (But I continue to post on such to counter the old "fuel on the fire" belief.) Treatment Decision
MO has agreed to let me restart Lupron because of CT result showing size increase of couple of existing metastasis in lymph nodes and a new suspicious lymph node. But he wants me to take Bicalutamide for two weeks before that. Do I understand correctly that Bicalutamide prevents prostate cancer cells

Brachytherapy was 3 years ago, libido steadily declining since then although was fine immediately after therapy. I am older (68), but drop

2 days until test date, naughty and did one today!
Hi all I had my second cycle but first frozen embryo transfer 05 May, with test date to be 16 May.. I did the very silly thing and tested today (two lines eek, trying not to get ahead of my self). I know with my first cycle I strictly didn’t test due to trigger injection still being in my system, however

Need to make some decisions about an ADT holiday or adding a secondary agent. Please advise!
In 2010 at the age of 59, I had Da Vinci surgery with a Gleason 4+5=9 and PSA of 9. Post surgical biopsy showed all margins clear with no seminal vesicle involvement and Gleason post-op score was changed to a 4+3. Subsequent PSA was non-detectable as tested every three months. Five years after surgery

No More Orgovyx, Continuing with Abiraterone and Prednisone
My MO and I have just decided to try the methodology reported in the study titled: "Suppression of testosterone production using abiraterone acetate (AA) with or without androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)". Here is a link to the study: https:

Orgovyx and estradiol?
Howdy all, been following some discussions here about using estradiol patches with ADT and I was wondering if anyone is using estradiol with Orgovyx. I've been on Orgovyx for over 7 months now and my PSA has been undetectable so far and I feel I'm tolerating it well. See my profile for my full treatment

Dose for new to HRT
Hi. I have just been prescribed Estradiol in patch form. I have not started to use them I have been prescribed 50mg. On the webpage you recommended "menopause matters" it suggests starting on a low dose around 10mg. Anyone have any experience of what dose is usual for new users, as I am considering

On my first Lupron shot... advice on testosterone monitoring?
Hi all, What types of tests would be appropriate to monitor and make sure your lupron shot is working correctly? Also, would standard type tests be appropriate or would you need more sensitive ones? Thanks, groundhogy

Hypodensities < 1 cm, dome of liver
However I read, especially for women, that high estrogen can cause liver cysts to grow, and coming off hormone treatment my E2 (
estradiol
) was 4x normal as my
testosterone
recovered. Has anyone seen this type of symptoms?

Labs and Image Scans 6/1/22
Result is a mixed bag. In three months my PSA rose from 0.51 to 1.10 and testosterone rose from 72 to 163. I was expecting my PSA to rise to 1.5 and testosterone around 100. Bone scan and X ray are clear. The CT scan is not. The relevant portion of the report is: LYMPH NODES: Interval enlargement of

Exercise like your life depends on it. Gentle reminder Brothers
Nothing new here, just a Gentle reminder. USA Over the holiday weekend, I came across this scientific paper verifying that physical exercise lowers cancer risk by 40%. Imagine a pharmaceutical drug that would reduce cancer risk by 40%? That would instantaneously be a trillion-dollar drug. Can you believe

Prostate size reduction by hormone treatment - how long should this take?
Hi, I am beginning hormone therapy, which should hopefully reduce the size of my prostate. I have been given 11.5mg of Leuprorelin and 2 weeks of bicalutamide to reduce the testosterone flair up. How long should this take to actually reduce the size of my prostate?
