Semaglutide as an Answer for ADT Fat Gain & Obesity
The gift of ADT (androgen deprivation) for advanced prostate cancer is a longer life. The harms caused by that same ADT are myriad and have been well discussed here. Included in those range of effects from very low testosterone is a powerful tendency to put on body fat. And to lose muscle mass and strength

Hormone sensitive after stopping Lupron?
If I stop ADT after 30 mo and my Testosterone stays at castrate level for 6mo, is this effectively the same as if I had 36 months of ADT?

Meds help please
I’m on all the normal post bypass meds so those are sorted my questions is I’m on Adcal which is basically calcium for my bones I had cancer 11 years ago and now I don’t produce any testosterone which means I stand a high chance of osteoporosis I haven’t as yet but they give me adcal just in case.

Estradiol Clinical Trial in UK?
Since my diagnosis of hormone-resistant and metastatic, I've been researching my options, beyond SOC (my onco wants me to start enzalutamide + Leuprorolin immediately) . Having seen E2-Guy post on Estradiol, I saw that there is a clinical trial taking place in the UK, so I am interested in joining

Testosterone gel pre-ivf
I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience of using testosterone gel prior to an ivf cycle? I’ll be starting my 3rd cycle soon, and I’m doing four weeks of testosterone first to help wake my ovaries up a bit first. I’ll also be using Meriofert as opposed to Ovaleap like my last two cycles. Enzalutamide - less is more?
New study below [1]. "Enzalutamide is an important drug in the treatment of prostate cancer. Standard dosing often requires dose reduction because of side effects. There is no information on survival outcomes with lower doses. We investigated the impact of starting enzalutamide at ≤ 50% dose on metastatic

2 months post Orgovyx
I had my 3 month check up yesterday. A little background, 10 months of lupron/Eligard followed by12 months of orgovyx. I stopped using orgovyx two months ago and my psa came in at <.02 and testosterone rebounded to 233. I thought that was quite impressive for only two months. Hot flashes have dramatically

Lu-PSMA-J591 Treatment Follow Up, 8 Weeks Out
I have received several inquiries about the early results from my experimental treatments with the alternative Lu177 radioligand, J591, in Perth. See my previous posts about the treatments which took place on May 13th and 27th. (Duplicated from a post on APC for my friends here on FPC) As previously

FET following hysteroscopy
Hi all, I hope you can help. I have a hysteroscopy next Tuesday (14th), I’ve had 0.5 of buserelin since day 21 of cycle to thin out lining in preparation and they’ve said I am to continue take for transfer rather than stopping and starting again. I’m not sure if I’ll also need to start taking estradiol

Premenopausal bloods and thyroid meds
Hi all Im having my blood taken at 9am to test my LH, FSH and Serum Oestradiol. Is it okay to still take my thyroid meds in the morning or should I take them after my bloods? Thanks :) Lindsay

Anxiety is getting high... Don't know what to expect after FET
Just had our 1st FET 5 days ago. I'm not entirely sure about the number in front of the letters, I think they said 4BB. I know for sure it's BB and that it was a Day 5 embryo. I'm on estradiol and progesterone. Nothing else to remark, I'm not thinking about my symptoms since they're mostly irrelevant

SRT IGRT/IMRT urinary urgency beginning after 3rd treatment

I've been on Lupron for about 15 months with 2 month break after the 12mth, PSA pretty steady at <= .01 and testosterone < 7; last 6mth shot 4/22. PSMA PET 2/2021

Constant brown discharge
Hi All, my wife is 6dpt with a high grade 5 day embryo. This is our 2nd FET and previously we had 2 rounds of IUI, all failed. We have had the same symptoms everytime and our clinic don't seem to be concerned like we are. Basically by day 2/3 she starts to spot a very light pink / brown discharge. Then

TSH and SHBG
Does anyone know much about SHBG please? I’ve had a few blood tests and all coming back with high SHBG levels (over 200 but does not state how much over as the lab just reports ‘over’). Doc is fixating on my TSH level (0.005) saying they think I’m over medicated but my T3 and T4 are within range and

Very painful period after stopping estradiol, what to do?
Hi, so we are having donor egg treatment abroad and have recently had a hysteroscopy and biopsies taken to check things out. The consultant said he'd seen an area that corresponds with adenomyosis which will explain my very heavy long periods I've been having. After the procedure I have taken 5 days

Progress made starting HRT
Hi Today a nurse has put me on HRT, Estradiol 0.06% gel and Utrogestan 100mg capsules. To be honest, I’m shocked, as the previous nurse I had a telephone conversation with was obsessed with getting my bloods done, and as the keys words were not mentioned by me as ‘no periods’, and ‘hot sweats’, I could

Testosterone “Flare” (Or Testosterone?) Timing to Optimize Salvage Radiation Therapy
I have referred to the following article a few times in response to some posts about the use and timing of ADT when used in addition (adjuvant) to improve outcomes from salvage radiation therapy for BCR for failure after primary prostate treatment (surgical or radiation or other). Also for recurrences
