Prostatectomy
I was scared to death to hear that I had cancer. My Father died from it. There was no offer for chemotherapy or radiation. I was told that my doctor needed more experience with the DaVinci robot and I was chosen. I died that day and was traumatized beyond traumatized and purposely given ecoli and regretted

Chemotherapy or Pluvicto
I just completed Radium 223 treatment. PSA has been doubling since I failed Zytiga. Last scans show progression. I am offered chemo or a trial with Pluvicto. The cancer is throughout my bones. What should I do. I have had chemo at the beginning of this journey and it worked then.

Might blood be good news?
I'm now getting ready for my 3rd Docetaxel infusion. My symptoms and side effects have been very mild. Before chemo started, I was getting pains in the rectal wall, sharp bladder discomfort and pain on urination - along with blood in the urine. As of today, I'm waiting for definitive results from

Trying to get to retirement before HT
Hi All, I'm currently 65 years old. My PSA level before the biopsy was 8.1, and my Gleason Score was 4+4. Fortunately, there are no signs of metastases. Although my treatment hasn't started yet, it's likely that I'll begin radiation therapy in early December. I'm currently overseas and won't return

T4 low, TSH rising, T3 fluctuates
I posted a few weeks ago about my ongoing battle with thyroid symptoms (hypothyroidism) and B12 and trying to get my GP to move forward with it all. My latest (private) test results are attached. Taken at 8.30am, just water, stopped biotin a week before. My T4 is low (and dropped below range last

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
I'm already "mildly symptomatic castration resistant." PSA tripled in the last 30 days (but still extremely low), after doubling in the prior 3 months. I was diagnosed with stage 4b (mets in multiple bones and nodes) ductal and started ADT 13 months ago. Nubeqa and Docetaxel (Triplet therapy) started

Feeling stuck
I have had breast cancer twice now, 2018 (stage 2) and 2022 (stage 1). I completed 16 rounds of chemo followed by 5 weeks of radiation over the summer. I got laid off from my job while on medical leave, and now I find myself stuck. Any tips on how to unstick myself and get the motivation to find a new

Side effects of both chemotherapy and radiation to treat CLL and lymphoma
I’m addressing seoul1949 here. First diagnosed with CLL in 2002 and then more recently with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Over the last five years I’ve had two fairly intensive bouts of chemotherapy: ABVD and COP followed up by radiation. Recent check-up about a month ago at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto

Richters Transformation
I recently informed here that after nine therapy free years since 2014 (FCR) my CLL bounced back in 10/2022 with an DLBCL and a suspicion of Richters. Biopsy and Lab tests predicted that. Therefore I was immediately treated with R-CHOP 14 CI Therapy first in Hospital one week and then within the ambulance
