Worried daughter needing some positive stories
Hi everyone, I’m new here. My mum has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer that has spread to her omentum. It’s high grade serous. I’m going out of my mind with worry, this has come as such a shock, so far she has had 4 chemo sessions and her CA-125 marker was down to 31 after 3 sessions. I was

Doing home hospice now
I am sure that Enhertu may work well for many other women. I am not so sure that it was the medication itself, but rather the way it was administered and whether or not they considered all the medication I was already on. I went ballistic on my onco. Because I never had chemo before. I had this ONE

Desperate! where can I go for private help for ILMD?
I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with 12 months to live. I have severe ILMD which has become much worse since starting chemo. I only had my first one last week. Since then my legs will start jumping at any time of the day and night and drive me mad. Chemo makes me very tired so I need

Dealing with relatives into holistic healing and Reiki
I recently had a get-togther with my my extended family, despite my high levels of pain from APc. One couple who was there offered to do Reiki on me several times when I explained that I was having pain from my cancer. I hadn't realized that they were into alternatives and holistic healing or I wouldn't

Bone Marrow and blood cells
My husband has been in the hospital for a week. He had been struggling to eat and drink due to nausea. His oncologist had him come in and they gave him a liter of saline and sent him home. We are rural and live an hour from the oncologist and any hospitals. When we got home that evening, it took him

Stage 4
Had 18 Chemo treatments, 20 radiation, on ADT from Start, PSA not readable after 22 months. Dr advises to stop ADT, to improve lifestyle. Not sure if this will increase risk of return sooner?

Niraparib - arm/shoulder aches
Hi 🙂 My mum has been on Niraparib for 6 months. She has had very few side effects except a bad back that lasted a few weeks. Over the last month or two she has been experiencing an achey shoulder which seems to ease with stretching. She’s not sure if it’s the muscle or the joint as sometimes her wrist

ADT now failing, what is next for us. ?
After 2 years of Trelstar my husbands PSA is now 2. He had RP in 2011, with PSA 32,followed by IRT. No symptoms at all now, no sideeffects from ADT which took PSA to 0. Small rise in blood pressureHas anybody survived for a lenghty time adding a new ADT drug? Should he have chemo? He is 75 years old,

Post chemo resensitivity to hormonal treatment
I have read here that Zytiga or Xtandi may be tried after chemo despite resistance having developed pre-chemo to one of them. Does anyone have a reference to anything in the literature about this? Thank you

Information please on next treatment options
My husband was diagnosed in Jan 2020 with stage 4 prostate cancer with bone metastasis. He is castrate-resistant. He is on Lupron every three months. Zytiga failed after about a year. He is now on his fourth chemo (cab) which the doctor thinks is not working. He mentioned four options that he thinks

Please boys, girls, can anybody advise or help explain why combined carboplatin & etoposide chemo are going to be used in next treatment
Brief history Hubby diagnosed Nov 21, straight in at stage 4, psa 600. Mets in spine and lymph nodes. No symptoms. Age 69. Started Firmagon monthly injections immediately, he’s still on them. xeloda or nothing?
My most recent scans showed progression. Neither of my oncologists are optimistic. I've exhausted all the IV chemotherapies. Oh, and I'm stage IV TNBC and have been for 11 years. It's been a long road. I thought I'd post to get some feedback. I've chosen not to do Piqray because of side effects. The

Chemo head rash (or maybe NUBEQA)
I don’t see a lot of posts in this form about developing a rash on your scalp after chemo. Looking for any home remedies or OTC products others who’ve experienced this might suggest. My scalp started itching on Friday (day 8 after first docetaxel), then on Saturday a bunch of red bumps appeared

How long after chemotherapy you return to your "normal" pre chemotherapy?
Between March and July 2022 I had six rounds of Docetaxel + Carboplatin and I dont seem to recover ,mainly fatigue. Can not bring myself to some decent level of energy. my pre treatment Karnofsky index was 90-100 , now it is 70-80 😕 I'm also doing Lupron shots and Nubeqa which of course contribute

PSA is increasing after 11 cycle of Docetaxel, what should we do now ?
My father has done around 11 cycle of Docetaxel, 5 of them was combined with Cisplatin. First 3 cycles of Docetaxel alone took his PSA from 7 ng/mL down to 3.680. between cycle 4 to the end of cycle 7 his PSA increased to reach 8.03. Adding Cisplatin brought his PSA down to 0.890 after another 4 cycles
