Endoscopy and omeprazole
I have heard that i will need to stop omeprazole 2 weeks before the
endoscopy
but really don't want to given the reaction last time. Has anyone had to stop omeprazole or similar medication before
endoscopy
? Would the results be unreliable if I continued with omeprazole?

I have recently had an
endoscopy
. They said I do not have Barrett's Esophagus although I do have a hiatus hernia. But I have had Barrett's for many years and take a 30 mg Lanzoprazole in the morning and 15 mg Lanzoprazole in the evening, The internet says Barrett's is not curable.

I feel like giving up
The only different thing she signed for me to get done was a referral to a gastroenterologist to get an
endoscopy
of my esophagus to check for damage from indigestion since I told her I get it really bad. I’m just praying they find something there and that it can be fixed.

Frustrated and dejected
Hi, so my father had been discharged from the hospital with heavy ascites, no
endoscopy
was performed. He went there for a simple constipation on his foot and ended up spending a week.

Is it sensible to get pregnant with a hiatus hernia?
After 3 months of reflux and weight loss I finally had an
endoscopy
yesterday and they found a 3cm hiatus hernia. After the procedure they sent me home with a leaflet but now I have so many questions and nobody to ask. I was referred by my GP so don't have a gastroenterologist.

Husband having transnasal endoscopy to check for varices
My husband has cirrhosis, portal hypertension, mild hepatic encephalopathy and ascites and is having an
endoscopy
next week to see if he has varices. How likely is this? If he does have them is the treatment good? He has stopped drinking and lost three stone since early June.

Dabigatran and tummy trouble
I have been on Dabigatran for over two years and have just been told, following a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
that I have stomach ulcers, gastritis and patchy bleeding in the stomach. I also have suffered with worsening diarrhoea now for about a year.

Desperate for Initial help diagnosis
(Oh dear) I've had
endoscopy
for coeliac because of my low Vit D and no conclusive for my ongoing symptoms. But came back inconclusive so I'm staying gluten free and now dairy free and feel a teeny bit better.

IBS is this really what I have to live with?
Hi guys, have always had mild stomach issues since my mid twenties now 43. I think it originates from taking antibiotics for acne back in my 20s, for a long time. However this year it has become pretty horrible. Really bad bloating, gas in March which forced me to go to the Doctor. Had some of tests
