I have had blood tests, Ct scan, endoscopy, colonoscopy, Sibo breathe test, Calprotectin test. Have seen to consultants over 8 months. They both dont have a clue whats wrong with my stomach. I have constant bloating, tummy pain, am now pooing red poo. I follow the low fod map diet after seeing a dietician Take peppermint capsules and Alflorex. Is it IBS?

Can anyone help. I now don't know what to do or who to see.

Can understand your feelings as health professionals haven’t found anything wrong but your still suffering - don’t believe anyone other than health professionals can diagnose.

How long have you had red poo? Do you eat beetroot or other foods that could be a source of red poo? Return to GP to get that checked if not.

Hope you find answers and feel better soon.

Hi

I thought that it might be foods but looking back i hadn't eaten anything red in colour. And yes if it continues i will return to my GP

Well I must say your GP has been pro active. All these are elimination tests and if nothing is found they say Its probably IBS. Not too happy about the red poo, so a trip to your GP is in order. BTW your post name suggests you are male, is that correct? 🤔

Hi Linley

No i am female. Yes i think another telephone consultation with GP is on the cards. To be honest she has got fed up with me now. I have had to pay for all the scans and tests due to Covid!!

Just a thought because us ladies have all our bits in the same area would it be a good idea to get some Gynae blood tests done😉

Have you tried anxiolytic like amitriptyline. It has helped me a lot. You can enquire with your GP about it
