Ibs pain
Hi, Sorry to hear of your abdomen pain. I have not been diagnosed yet so I dont know if I have IBS but have had CT scans, ultrasounds and blood tests and thankfully everything came back clear. Lost a lot of weight since January and very slowly putting it back on as wasnt that keen on eating a lot with bowel issues.
I do get the dull ache in my left side and have been advised to take Buscopan by two medical professionals. They also said it would get better in time and its not as strong as it was. Once I go to the loo and have breakfast it does go eventually. Please check with your pharmacist or GP before trying a new medicine as obviously I am not a Dr.
Good luck.
You may be suffering from visceral hypersensitivity (functional abdominal pain) - there is info about it here:

It is where the brain interprets the normal activity of the bowel as pain - this is due to a wearing down of neurons in pain control centres of the brain which can be caused by PTSD, neglect or abuse in childhood, extreme stressful events etc. The first line treatment is nerve pain agents such as low dose amitriptyline. There is a theory that being on something like amitriptyline for 6-12 months can help the pain control centre neurons to regenerate. Note that amitriptyline can cause constipation, but this can be helpful in people who are diarrhea dominant. Unfortunately I couldn't tolerate these. Linaclotide (for IBS-C only) & Alflorex probiotic have helped me with this intestinal pain.
You may also find assistance with anti-spasmodic medication such as mebeverine (Colofac) - more for diarrhea dominant or enteric coated peppermint.
You can find some info on self management here:

All of this would need to be discussed with your health care professional.
I get this: I have colitis though. Mine also doesn’t seem linked to food or passing
Just comes on and off. Like a dull pulled muscle feeling lower right. Where’s yours?
I'll be honest I've had some abdominal aches and pains most of my adult life and they have never shown up as anything dangerous, although they are getting more awkeard as I get older (60s). I try and get checked now and then if I h ave a bad session. I get dull aches on the right side, and across my back, and sometimes radiating all down my right side. Doc is thinking now "interstitial cystitis" because I am getting increasing classic cystitis attacks, but IC seems to be a handy bag for "pain in lower abdomen we don't know what's causing it", and I don't even get pain in my lower abdomen, bless them ... If you get tests that come back clear, be glad but don't take your eye of it, is the best answer I can give!
Hi. I tend to get regular general tender discomfort that can be under my left rib which can go down to my belly button. When I am having a really bad flare up I get awful pain in my stomach that goes into my back. It is so painful... spasms that have me doubled up in pain. Buscapan generally will stop it after 15 mins. It is such a horrible condition and can vary so much between individuals.
Does anyone suffer from bad feelings of sickness without actually been sick i do
