Have you had a faecal calprotectin test? This will show if there is any inflammation in the gut. Are your stools hard and do you ever have liquid/very squishy stools?

Always liquid and this was squishy not solid bits I usually have a lot of blood and blood on the tissue I think I haven’t had one yet il check my medical file as I keep everything together to make sure last colonoscopy was to painful to go through properly and I was using the Klean-prep was horrible

Klen-prep is vile stuff. I would ask them to do a faecal calprotectin test on you.

It takes most of us a long time to get a diagnosis so I can totally understand the frustration and worry x

Yea it’s been on going for 2 years now and it gets worse I was originally 9 st now 7.6st lost a lot of weight not helped with the stress which also triggers further symptoms it’s just on going klen-prep was horrible picoaxe was by far the easiest and effective at first they said it was celiac went gluten free and dairy free problems became worse now feels like I’m forever taking a step back with every result all my symptoms lead to crohns/colitis looked online at many other things but everything I have all match crohns/colitis it’s very frustrating especially when they give me nothing to help buscopan and mebeverine don’t help nothing really do

Pretty much the same. I've lost 6 stone but I'll be honest and say i had it to lose. I've now stabilised but I've lost blood, raised calprotectin but still IBS. I've now stopped taking photos of my poop as no point. Awaiting another Colonoscopy but delayed due to Covid, it was raised to urgent at the end of May but I don't expect it anytime soon

I’ve been in n out myself I’ve only kept poop pics just to keep track off the foods I’m in taking and the effects it causes and I also keep for when i finally see a dietician so I can ask her if these poops are normal because they certainly ain’t and I’m in constant pain just seems to be fobbed off hope you get answers soon

Is 5 a bad number, On my up cycle of gut issues I go 12 or more times a day, On down cycle I am constipated and still go 6 or more times a day.

I really hope you get some answers soon, I went months of being treated for ibs, then got cal protein test which was high, eventually got colonoscopy which showed I had crohn’s. Meds had so many side effects they gave up, so I had no medication then all of a sudden poo changed from soft to hard, need to use enema’s and awaiting a scan due to blockage somewhere. Everything seems to be taking forever these days. Keep us updated on your findings, it’s so hard being patient on such a sensitive matter, I felt trapped in my own home. Big hugs 🤗
