Advice on endoscopy
HI all - finally scheduled for an
endoscopy
the end of February. I have low levels of almost all micronutrients. Especially B12. Does anyone have any advice on this procedure? Thanks much as always.

Could cancer be diagnosed by doing a liquid biopsy? - study
Obtaining biopsy samples via needle,
endoscopy
or surgery can be painful and sometimes risky, and imaging methods such as MRI or PET scans require costly, bulky equipment that is not universally available.

Nausea and irritable bowel syndrome with pudendal neuralgia
I’ve seen a gastroenterologist and he’s done all sorts of tests -
endoscopy
, colonoscopy, ultrasound. But nothing to find what’s causing it. I’ve been on FODMAP diet for months now and whilst it seemed to help at first the nausea and irritable bowel returned.

Long term Ppi
Hi just a general question regarding the long term use of Omeprazole . I'VE had PAF since 2017 , an unsuccessful cryoablation in 2019 and am currently on the waiting list for a follow up RF ablation . My episodes are infrequent , reasonably mild and always self resolve within 12 hours. I've been on various

is portal hypertension always progressive or is it reversible.
I have ALD and cirrhosis and been diagnosed with portal hyprrtension and 2 grade 1 varices (last
endoscopy
about 6 months ago). Will this inevitably progress until I start to have bleeds or is there a way to halt it or reverse it.

Colonoscopy still waiting
Apparently they had my paperwork but it hadn’t been passed to the doctor to examine before going to the
endoscopy
dept. Many apologies and I would definitely hear this week. Still not heard , tried to phone today but no one there to answer phones. Had to leave two messages.

Particular IBS symptoms
I've had all the tests since 2020 (
endoscopy
plus CT scan plus flexible sigmoidoscopy plus ultrasound) to rule out anything abnormal. I do notice that after I eat chocolates that the burning sensation can happen (though not always) but even without chocolates it can appear with other foods.

When nerve damage should be considered permanent?
Gastrointestinal said I need
endoscopy
but hopefully my gastrointestinal symptoms completely abated. I'm going to see reumatolgust but my GP said It could be reumathoid arthritis. By injection bjiw lits if my symptoms improved like severe numbness in hands which was so bad and I couldn't sleep.

Does anyone suffer stomach related heart pain?
I had a gastric
endoscopy
, but they lost the biopsy results, anyway last week had the blow in a tube test for H Pylori, which I think is the cause. Meanwhile the cardio has put me on a betablocker and PPI, to protect the two oragns. Cheers,

Aspirin intolerance
I have to have a ct scan and
endoscopy
to check everything is okay with my stomach etc. I take Clopidogrel every morning. I also take the usual Pantoprazole, Nebivolol, Rosuvastatin and the aspirin. If anyone has had similar side effects I would be grateful to hear.

Esophagus problems
Hello from Florida, U.S. I have had this condition for years. Also hospitalized with what they thought was heart attack. My problem comes from eating anything dry and swallowing big pills like calcium. Millions of tests by gastroenterologist. One of my problems I have been told is from swallowing

Stomach and right rib pain?
I've had an
endoscopy
, colonoscopy, MRI, ultrasound and a hida scan. I just can't seem to get my stomach under control. I'm petrified something is wrong with my liver. I guess I'm posting to find out how people felt before being diagnosed with liver disease and what were their symptoms.

Husband recently diagnosed with decompensated cirrosis of the liver
He also had an
endoscopy
the result of which was no varicies. We are yet to recieve biopsy results which I find odd. Our next app is with the consultant at the end of April. I feel so in limbo.

Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy Tips
I’m feeling quite anxious about it, as I’ve never had an
endoscopy
before or even met any of the gastro team. I’ve only had one phone appointment with a specialist nurse after being referred by my GP.

Was wondering about anemia?
I have had tests to see if I am losing blood (
endoscopy
and colonoscopy). Both show nothing. I even had a hysterectomy last October. That will help they said. But no. I hate to have to go back to my GP with this same problem again. Anyone else have problems with low hemoglobin?
