Particular IBS symptoms

Wondering if anyone experiences the same symptoms and has remedied it:

I've been experiencing a strong burning sensation in my lower left abdomen on and off for a while now. Googling it suggests it is not commonly associated with IBS. Other typical symptoms include occasional pain in the sternum after certain foods or even when not having eaten for a while.

I've had all the tests since 2020 (endoscopy plus CT scan plus flexible sigmoidoscopy plus ultrasound) to rule out anything abnormal. I do notice that after I eat chocolates that the burning sensation can happen (though not always) but even without chocolates it can appear with other foods. It typically happens waking up.

I've been on and off on Fybogel Mebverine and been on PPIs for years but have weaned myself off these: meds are not a long term solution and it's never helpful visiting a GP who just fobs you off with these. I am booked to see a private IBS dietician in the coming days to devise a suitable meal plan.

Like you all, I just want a normal life and not overly restrict my food intake. My weight also seems to be going down due to low fodmap conforming for the most part, worrying because I'm already slightly underweight as it is. I'm male.

hey...

I have gone through similar situations since 2013 and had done all the test you mentioned .. at the end all these reports were normal and GP said that i was going through IBS.. and since then I have tried different medicines such as allopathy, probiotics, ayurvedic (traditional), hakimi, etc. It helped up to some extent, but when I started using this Kangen water, it worked like a miracle... I have been using this Kangen water now since Aug 2021 and its working well for me.

hope it may help someone!!

Thanks for the reply. Kangen water seems quite a dubious cure going from my initial research - very pricey and feels scammy too. Any time the solution seems prohibitively expensive, it likely isn't a solution that is guaranteed to work.

However your other suggestions, especially Ayuverda does seem to resonate. Probiotics too. Changing one's lifestyle is the only way, that way it becomes preventative medicine and not a short term fix.

You are welcome!

I understand your initial research related to Kangen water and you felt it pricey and scammy. However, I also looked for the Science behind the Kangne water and found plenty of research done on it including clinical trials on patients and I found it to be satisfactory. By the way, I am a doctorate in Physics and I don't jump into such expensive things without prior study. Even you can google the research articles on "alkaline reduced water ionized" and you will find enough evidences.

Anyways, I hope you will get the solution needed for your health :-)

All the Best!
