I was totally symptom free and then had an
endoscopy
for acid reflux (so I say “symptom free” but not sure if related but I know lots of people with acid reflux with healthy livers).

brief sharp pain in anus followed by tingling
Had a stroke couple of years ago. Due to excellent physio I am improving remarkably well. Surprisingly the most unpleasant part is I sleep well at about 6 am I am worked up with acute pain in my anus accompanied by this unpleasant tingling sensation around my bowels. It is often alleviated by a poop

Surprise discovery of PA
So my GP started me on a battery of tests which resulted in a referral for both a gastroscopy and an
endoscopy
. Afterward, the attending physician came out and asked me if I’d ever been told I have Pernicious Anemia, which I’d never heard of.

Aspirin-induced gastritis and gastrointestinal bleeding
At her suggestion I had an
endoscopy
three weeks ago. We discovered that I was having gastrointestinal bleeding. The doctor suggested that I stop the aspirin therapy.

High Platelet Diagnosis Update….
I’ve also had an all clear colonoscopy and
endoscopy
. Other things I am diagnosed with are hypothyroidism, irritable bowel syndrome, many allergies and vitiligo. Whilst conducting her tests the Haematologist said I was Iron deficient but not to the extent that I was anaemic.

Examining the Pathology of the Parietal cells
Just read from a post by Rexz , that in the U.S.A. a diagnosis of Pernicious Anaemia can be confirmed by examining the pathology of the parietal cells .( by endoscopic ultra-sound ) This seems an excellent method for confirming such a serious condition as P.A.Which can lead to serious health problems

pain under ribs
I have been now been told my discomfort is ibs constipation and not hiatus hernia or acid reflux. Symptoms started 8 years ago and steadily deteriorated so I’m now finding it difficult to eat/drink. Domperidone did help (half tab not every day) but GE said not to take it as advice re impact on heart

endoscopy via nose to check acid reflux
Today I went to hospital thinking I was having an
endoscopy
, I was told that the
endoscopy
was going to measure from my stomach to my nose so that I could come back and have another procedure done, This would be a tube going up my nose and down into my stomach, the tube from my nose would then be attached

hi to those of you that follow me on here and those who don’t just wanted to do a quick update. So I saw Transplant consultant last month and he said I probably won’t live 5 years without a transplant. I went back yesterday as follow up as they are now seeing me monthly, and we’ll I was totally surprised

Large lesion on liver - 10cm x 5cm
Also, I have no symptoms at all, other than acid reflux (biopsies came back clear following
endoscopy
) and all bloods consistantly within range other than ALP.

Am waiting for urgent
endoscopy
too as I have had terrible reflux and am on extra meds for that. Not a happy bunny at the mo but at least we can have a moan on here whilst also reminding ourselves we are luck to be alive and live is usually good.
