I have just had an endoscopy and has come back saying I have portal hypertension among other things. Does anyone know if you have to have any treatment for this please. Thanks

I’ve been suffering on and off with reflux and heartburn for the last year. two endoscopies have showed nothing sinister, a 3cm hernia and mild gastritis (at separate points) I’ve been given omeperzole

PS - I'm beginning to wonder if the burning sensation is actually angina as I have a hiatal hernia and a very recent endoscopy detected a few stomach ulcers.

hello I’m posting to this forum once again as my Ibs symptoms continue to worsen. I don’t know if I’m constipated or have diarrhea but simply put, my colon is always filling up with mushy stool containing food fragments. I have 10 to 15 bowel movements every day but never get any feeling of relief

It is true that I have IBS and I cannot use the statins and I am allergic to some medication, but I don't believe it's esophagus spasm, because I had endoscopy and they didn't find anything.

I've had on and off gut issues for years now, bloating, tiredness being the main concerns and have been referred for a colonoscopy and and endoscopy- which I'm extremely nervous about. I've heard about the links between T3 on gut issues and got some blood test results.

I've had diarreha for almost four weeks. I've had two endoscopies, colonoscopy, bloodwork and am scheduled for a CT scan in another week. Just began medication for ulcerative colitis.

Tuesday I has a colonoscopy/endoscopy. Today, Wednesday, my daughter was goiing to vist if I were up to it--I am but she isn't! Monday was the awful colonoscopy prep day, but I felt pretty lousy without that started. Off balance, upset belly, like unlike myself and discouraged.

. & then today I’ve had a call about an endoscopy as I may have stomach cancer. Im feeling confused & totally out of control as each possibility involves a different team based over 3 different hospitals with, it feels, no one in overall control.

However, he did refer me to a GI specialist to get an endoscopy. This is what made me nervous! If it was just gastritis and assured me it wasn't cancer why would I be refered to a GI specialist that week? Well lately I have noticed that I was losing weight.

Have had an endoscopy( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a cystoscopy which was clear as I have an enlarged prostate but normal psa levels. I got bloods done privately which show I have elevated anti thyroglobulin antibody's.

I asked for an endoscopy due to the risks from B12 of stomach cancer and to find out why this is happening, but am not sure if this will be approved. I don’t want to start ppi’s as i’d like to sort the cause if possible, rather than the symptoms.

I've had an endoscopy and barium swallow and I've been told that I have a small mid-esophageal divertiulum which I'm assuming is causing the discomfort. I have lots of burping but no reflux.

My regular GI doctor is doing an endoscopy in 2 weeks. So worried it could be something they are missing, or could be be a really bad IBS flare? Hope everyone has a nice, healthy weekend! TIA!

Hi all first post ,I'm yet to be diagnosed with ibs d but I firmly believe I have it as all my symptoms are classic my GP wants to send me for an endoscopy which I'm not happy with as they require me to basically fast for 3 days and flush out everything for 24 hours before and I'm trying so hard to keep

My endoscopy shows three small varies that are termed as well covered. The liver nurse has just prescribed ursodoylic acid three times a day I don’t know what that’s for either she said to keep my bile flowing? I’m just scare I’m going to die . Can anyone shed any light on all of this.

Upper endoscopy showed 'sliding hernia' (gp's suggestion). Deteriorated so I rang rheumy nurse who told me I'm in ' impending adrenal crisis'. Advice given-stick at 5, rest up and if get worse go to hospital.
