Significant drop in platelets
I am on 2 low-dose aspirin and therapeutic phlebotomies as needed (sometimes every 3 weeks and sometimes ever 3 - 4 months). Symptom burden has drastically improved over the past 6 - 8 months. Just curious if anyone else has experience with significant platelet drop within a short period. Mine dropped

Lansoprazole post NSTEMI just wondering if I still really need to take it??
I am now 9 months down the line from my NSTEMI event. Blood results all good, lost some weight due to reduced fat diet and exercise. I am feeling great post stenting, I seem to be tolerating the meds ok no real issues apart from increased flatulence. I was just wondering if I really need to take the

IVF transfer protolols (adenomyosis / endometriosis)
Hey there fellow warriors. I am agonising over IVF transfer protocols. After a year of batch stimming I am very fortunate to have 3 euploid blastocysts on ice ready to transfer. I have had five failed transfers (x2 miscarriages, 3 BFNs) and feel like I have tried everything already in terms of protocols

Lansoprazole
Anyone taking Lansoprazole as well as Levothyroxine? If so how do you take it? I always take Levo first thing on empty stomach but apparently that’s how you should take Lansoprazole. I have been told I need to take it as I am on daily aspirin and now chemo tablet daily. Anyone else could advise please

*Sensitive* recurrent MCs, faint bfp
Hello! For context, I have a history of early recurrent miscarriages (3 last year), and a toddler. We have now been trying for 18 months, first 8 months with MCs and nothing last 10 months. I have an extremely low amh 1.75 pmol/l, so I was told I should move to IVF. I am due to start IVF medications

I've never taken statins. First, my GP said to take them to lower my cholesterol. But my cholesterol is naturally very low, I said. Is it, he replied, let's have a look. He scrolled down my file on his computer. Oh yes, he said, so it is. Then he said statins were recommended for diabetics, among other

Hematoma and Ruxolitinib
Hi. I am looking for advice or reassurance. I am on Ruxolitinib and aspirin. I am also taking prescription iron tablets due to my haemaglobin being on the low side. My platelets and white cell count are the higher end of normal. In the past 3 days I have two hematomas in my hand out of nowhere.

Mouth Ulsers after embryo transfer
Hi everyone, I just had my 4th frozen embryo transfer on Monday and start from yesterday, I have many small ulsers growing in mouth, which is painful. Anyone has any experience of this? As my previous transfers none of this has this issue, and the only medicine different this time is adding Asprin

Everything taste awful - like vinegar!
I was prescribed 6 drugs in March following a silent heart attack. They were the usual - Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Ramipril, Atovastatin, Bisoprolol, and Lansoprazole. Five weeks ago food and drink began to taste awful - sour or vinegarish. I can't bear to eat any dairy, fruit or meat. I can eat vegetables

Result of CT angiogram
Heard back from the rapid access chest pain clinic and they confirmed I have a mild to moderate blockage of my coronary arteries. They requested my doctor prescribe amlopidine and aspirin - so more medication! I'm not sure about the aspirin as I've had a stomach ulcer in the past and also bleed very

platelets increasing ?
Hello My husband had his 6 month check and platelets were 946. They seem to be going up since he has been diagnosed in 2022. Is this the trend do they tend to come back down? Nurse said they will test VW if they go over around 1100. He has been having slight bleeding form gum and also pain in middle

Hi everyone. Over a few years, my nana, uncle and nephew died young of heart failure and my brother is waiting to have 4 stents put in. no stent-tortuos artery
Hi all who replied. I did have angiogram, apparently the LAD is 65-70%, then another part 74%, BUT it is what they call a tortuous artery, really curved and twisted, looked like a country lane on the angio, with corners! So apparently difficult to stent and made the decision not to and treat with meds

Which medicine is messing with my thyroid med uptake
Might anyone be able to suggest which of my other meds has affected my thyroid med uptake (100mcg thyroxine and 2x5mcg t3)? I was prescribed digoxin, furosemide and bisoprolol after having open heart surgery 3 mths ago to resolve some anatomical defects. Uptil that point thyroid levels were stable
