Dr Greger has a little positive spin on it but still because of the lack of basic quality control. It is not a good medicine unless one was in third world country and could not afford it.
May I suggest that as PD sufferers we are encouraged to do our own research and with neurologist guidance take whatever steps work for each of us. I have added mucus to my regime with great success so please stop scare mongering. And read the excellent report posted by Gomelgo
I am not a Mucuna user, but this is pure deception. The first video shows that Mucuna Pruriens contains the "dangerously addictive" L-dopa 😉 but also valuable substances, which happen to also be present in the supplements of…. "ergogenic health". It is pure scaremongering to sell their training sessions, consultations, and Corporate Wellness Packages 🤑💰
The second video actually shows the remarkably good results with Mucuna, but it emphasizes once again the unreliable amount of L-dopa in different supplements. This is true, but it is based on a limited study from 2018. Since then, there has been a new and more extensive study that have once again identified this issue. It is careless Dr. Greger and this problem is separate from the potential effectiveness of Mucuna. I can safely grow my own Mucuna Pruriens beans!
Did you take it with carbidopa in some form? I tried taking up to about 5 capsules by itself and it did nothing. But 1 capsule with carbidopa worked better than my normal meds.
This is scare mongering. You cannot make blanket statements about a product that is produced by many different manufacturers - some reputable. Everyone should do those own research and be wary of users like this.
