Cbd oil
There's a fair amount of new studies coming out that cannabis products including CBD may be detrimental to heart health. It's coming out that consuming cannabis can cause Afib and even heart attacks. I personally had a heart attack whilst under the influence.
This being said I also tried CBD tea on an evening and it worked a treat at getting me to sleep and into a deep sleep but 2 out of the 3 times I tried it, I experienced chest pains during the night and slow heart rate. It may have been coincidence but i never tried them again.
this is one to discuss with a pharmacist. Either the pharmacist employed by your doctor’s group of surgeries, who will have access to your medical records and so on. Or your dispensing pharmacist who at least knows a little about you.
Hi there
My husband tried CBD oil for anxiety after his cardiac arrest and it made him feel more jittery and paranoid.
He has found that Rescue remedy drops and pastilles are the best thing.
Also, it may be worth considering some counselling to get to the cause of the worry which is keeping you awake. My husband tried various types but the one that worked best was hypnotherapy. He only had a few sessions and then the guy recorded the last session on my husbands phone which he still listens to when he feels stressed or anxious and it seems to do the trick.
Good luck
I have lived with severe chronic pain for 30 years. My painkiller can no longer be increased. My pain consultant says the only alternative left to me now is CBD but he doesn't dare prescribe it for me because so little research has been done on its effect on the heart.
have just spoke to pharpharmacist and he said no interactions with my meds ,so may try half dose when required

Hi, Charl70,
While I wish that researchers would say that CBD products are great for patients with heart problems, unfortunately, that is not the case. The research that I have read over the last year suggests that cannabis products likely all have negative effects on one’s heart. I believe that theonethatgotaway1 probably said it best in his reply.
Best wishes to you! ❤️
