Private blood tests - med review
Hi You guys have always been so ace so I come to you again! My husband had a HA in 2018, 3 stents, age 42. At the time fit cyclist. Blood pressure was the cause likely stress related. Cholesterol was fine. Roll forward and his meds haven’t been reviewed or changed since we agreed with GP he

Blood "thinness" test
Are there any members whose Dr checks for blood thick/thin-ness? Many supplements can thin blood, so for those on aspirin it could be additive. My Dr is ok with my taking curcumin, but I have noticed a minor change in bleeding. I'm curious if there is an actual test for this?

Lower back pain
Hi My name is Gulshan Munshi. I am 68 years old and suffering from lower back pain which travels down to my legs which makes it very difficult to walk or sit for a longer period of time. I get kind of strange type of pain in my right leg e.g. vein or bone getting on top of each other and until that comes

How to help implantation
Hello everyone, I am about to have my second FET in about a weeks time. My first fresh embryo transfer and my first FET didn’t work so I was wondering what I can do to prepare my uterus for the transfer for a good chance of success? I’m having treatment through the NHS so I haven’t had tests etc done

bad itch and body rash
I am a 79 year old female UK. I’ve posted first of all when I was diagnosed about 1 year ago. I have ET and BmB confirmed this. I live in Paisley, Scotland and there is only one MPN Specialist in this area and he is based in Edinburgh. I did consult with him privately and he agreed with hospital

Poor Conversion T4 to T3 update and supplement advice (Magnesium, Vit B complex, Vit C)
Nearly two months after my Medichecks blood tests and c5 weeks after GP blood test results (see previous posts) I've managed to get an answer from my GP - he has consulted the Endo at local hospital who says I'm a poor converter... Apparently current NHS guidance is to increase the amount of T4 I'm

Heart Attack Journal #2
I really didn’t think I’d be back here again. After my first MI in August 2019, I really thought that the medication I was on would prevent a repeat of this. However, 3 ½ years on, it’s happened again. Seems that I’m in the small minority (less than 2%) for whom the standard medication doesn’t prevent

ET-The mental aspect
M52, diagnosed with ET/JAK2+ (confirmed by a BMB) a few years back as my platelet count spiked over 600k. In fact I had a change from "normal" to over 450k at some point in 2013 and counts were between 430k-530k for a good 8 years, without any concern expressed by my GP. With the spike I was referred

Feeling a little low
Update I had a heart attack in September that left me with a 100 percent blockage in the right artery. In and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. On the 29th March I had 3 stents fitted after trying both wrists they then eventually did it through the groin. Discharged 5 days later

Clopidogrel Resistance
my dad had a mild stroke 7 weeks ago and told he would make a 99% recovery, only his speech was affected. He is now in hospital again with a second stroke which is considerably worse and right arm now affected, despite taking his clopidogrel, statin and blood pressure meds as prescribed. He had 3 weeks

Tales from the ER : Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail*
I'm excited to report the latest innovation in medicine. A secret the Bulgarian doctors were keeping for too long. A magic herb that heals anxiety, depression, back pain, fever, chicken pox, cancer and revives the dead. The ✨valerian root✨ So i was having really severe back pain. My ribs and spine hurt

Doxazosin
It’s almost 2 years since my heart attack and triple bypass. I’m being started today on Doxazosin 1mg as my BP is high. I can only tolerate Amlodipine 5mg because of swelling ankles and legs and Ezetamide made my pulse go crazy. This had been ongoing for about a year. I take max dose of Ramipril.

Hi ladies, Could really use some advice. I had a miscarriage at 5 wks + 5 days on Monday whilst at work. I dared to think about making it to the early pregnancy scan next wk, and then out of nowhere this happened. Was confirmed on a scan yesterday that nothing there. Still processing but coping better
