Went back to MOFFITT in Tampa to see Dr Komrokji. Moffitt pathologist reread BMB with fibrosis mild to moderate. (BMB from MD Anderson). My diagnosis ET. Jak2 and TeT2. Platelets still in 700k down from over 800. All other labs WNL. I am turning 58, aspirin daily. Still have lots of symptoms

As hunter had said to let you know. ....
Well I eventually got my discharge letter from our haematology department. It stated my bloods were high for a long time most likely infection and he would be happy to see me again if I developed any other symptoms or my platelets went above 650. (Not the 450 stated on the WHO for et). In December

Parkwalk update
Hey Everyone Thanks for all the comments on me doing the parkrun at the weekend. I've taken all the comments on board and I've decided I'm going to walk it. I've run the course before and as I've volunteered since my heart attack I know a lot of the regular volunteers so I'm going to let them know I'm

MF from ET
I have early stage MF from ET, and Iāve had a headache for 12 days, with pressure over the left eye, and lightning flashes in the left eye. I just wondered if anyone else has had this? My doctor wants me to start taking aspirin twice a day now, & if that doesnāt work he will start me on hydroxyurea.

Bruising
Hello.I'm on dual antiplatelet meds asprin and ticagrelor. I seem to be bruising very easily and bruises coming up and don't know how I've done it. Is there anything I can do to stop it happening or is it something I just have to live with now. Thanks for your help.

Itchiness is fading away...
I have had PV for ten years and am a 66 year old male. Phlebotomies & aspirin worked well for that time. Aquagenic priurits (itchiness on contact with water) had become unbearable by June 2022. I went onto 500mg per day HU (Hydroxyurea). The itchiness started to decrease and now after 6 months has almost

Dissolvable Asprin
If you are taking dissolvable Asprin can you dissolve it in diluted squash or must you only take it in plain water as don't like the taste.

Can't get a quote for Holiday Insurance until I specify what the medication I'm taking following Bypass surgery is for.
Hi š¤ Everyone, I've just tried to nail down a Holiday insurance quote but I've hit a brickwall and was hoping that I can tap into the wealth of knowledge of my fellow Hearties. On the 26th September I had double Bypass Surgery. What with lockdown and my diagnosis of a severe Stenosis on the LAD

Hi all. I'm about to start my 7th round of IVF, my 3rd with donor eggs. A sprinkle of Christmas magic & a dash of hope š«
I read a post like this about 10 months ago and it gave me the kick up the bum I needed to change clinics and has lead to our first IVF BFP after 6 full rounds. So this is me attempting to maybe pay it forward. When you are faced by failure, round after round it can literally be soul destroying. After

Mild Heart decease
Hi All By chance I have found out I have mild Heart decease , 65 calcium score , but my cardiologist says the blockage in my LAD is too small to give a percentage, therefore is a calcium score not necessarily related to the blockage amount, I have not had a heart attack , passed all the running test

Hi all, Thank you for all the posts of your journey with PV as they are really helpful for me. I was diagnosed with PV June 2022. My HCT and platelets have been high for at least 6 years, and confirmation of PV was done with the JAK2 gene testing positive (thankful for the doctor at an ER testing

Hi everyone in September 2020 I had one stent fitted in my main LAD artery which was 75% blocked. Ive been on Ticagrelor, Aspirin and Atorvastatin ever since. I feel great, exercising, eating as healthily as I can (albeit not as strict as I was in the beginning). My question is Ive started to worry
