hello my mum who’s is 78 has recently been diagnosed with heart failure. Unfortunately she went to the appointment on her own so I haven’t spoke to anyone directly yet. She has been prescribed aspirin bisoprolol and ramipril with immediate effect. Should be getting cardiology app imminently but just waiting. Would appreciate advice on what questions I should be asking at the appointment please. We knew she had some blockage left side for which she went to have a stent fitted in august but they said when they got in there she didn’t need it. At the time she didn’t have any symptoms. She has been quite fatigued but we put that down to a long Covid diagnosis. She also has been feeling as she describes ‘out of it’ and a little unsteady. She had a recent faint and low oxygen which is why repeat tests were ordered. Must admit I’m pretty scared…
