Myopericarditis with a two week old baby & 18 month old
Looking for honest opinions please- ideally from a woman who’s had a baby and experienced Myopericarditis… My husband kept saying he felt like he was having a heart attack every time he tried to calm our two week old baby. I of course explained it was just a panic attack and to breath deeply- anyway

low dose aspirin
My cardiologist wants me to take a baby aspirin daily but I’m on brukinsa. I wonder if there will be issues. I will call oncology before I start taking it. Wonderful if anyone had experience with these two.

Are my meds causing Joint pain?
Hi everyone, since my cabg last year, and now things have settled down, I'm on these meds. Levothyroxine which I've been on about 10 years for thyroid, lansoprazole, aspirin, Bisopropol and atorvastatin. I've read the problems with muscle pain with that statin, but what I have is Joint pain, fingers

It just gets worse...
I had a heart attack and stents fitted three months ago. Had terrible problems with side effects from the medications. One of them being really bad stomach pains. I went to my doctor who changed the medication I take for my Hiatus Hernia. Nothing improved. I've been to my doctor for a further two

Can Paracetamol be taken for pain relief when on Anticoagulants?
After taking Paracetamol for pain relief on a regular basis when on Apixaban, I had bad reaction with terrible pain in my leg - was eventually diagnosed as Cellulitis which was cured with wide spectrum antibiotics for 7 days. I am no longer on Apixaban and have gone back to Aspirin, as this is

How much aspirin do you guys take?
My platelets are around 1100, minor symptoms ie the odd tingling in feet. I have been prescribed 100mg per day. Just wondering what everyone else is taking as I feel it may be a bit much?

Very belated intro
I've had rls since I was in my teens. I'm now 66 years old. About 6-7 years ago, I was finally diagnosed with RLS, and given a medication that I can't recall the exact name of, but it was something like lebadopa carbadopa?? Anyway, that worked very well for me at first, but after a few months it would

Hello again everybody! I have finally received a diagnosis based on BMB. Triple negative ET
I m a bit underwhelmed with my specialist as he is very vague about everything. Gave me a script for aspirin 100mg once a day. Suggested I do a blood test every 3 months and see him every 6 months. Some markers from BMB have not come back but he said he is not expecting to find anything surprising or

Travel to Dubai and Prescription Medication
Hoping for some clarity and real world experiences.. I'm travelling to Dubai for a short break in October and understand I need to validate/declare prescription medication that I might need to take into the country. Nothing too controversial, Bisoprolol, Atorvastin, Aspirin & GTN spray for Heart related

Lipoprotein little a Reading high.
Hi, I would definitely recommend the Randox blood tests ( Everyman). My tests show that my Lipoprotein little a was elevated with a reading of 76. I had a low reading with Apollipoprotein E and after discussions with my Cardiologist we both decided to stop my statin therapy. My overall total cholesterol

Heart disease, LP(a) and spinach etc and blood clots
Hi Friends Do greens such as Kale, spinach etc actually increase risk of blood clots ? So I recently found out that I have CAD in 5 arteries including a medium blockage in my LAD. Was very marginal for a stent but they decided not to at this point because I have a flow of 0.81 / they stent at under

Hot flushes
Hi, I am getting hot flushes that seem to have been increasing in frequency through the day and night in the last year or so. I am 65 and am 17 years past the menopause. I was diagnosed with ET 7 years ago and am on Hydroxy and Aspirin. Hydroxy needed to be increased recently but platelets now controlled

Is this now the norm?
Hi everyone, I had a heart attack (Inferolateral STEMI, Primary PCI -OM) and stents fitted three months ago. I just don't feel that I am getting any better really. Have maybe one or two good days a week (if I'm lucky), the rest of the time I feel totally exhausted. And doing any sort of task seems
