We have people posting who have serious issues, and I feel for every one of them.
However, please send some good thoughts to me ASAP for being so stupid. I have gastroparesis and gallstones. I also managed to eat a can of fried Spam and 4 grilled cheese sandwiches over the last several days. I don't know what I was thinking, but they sure tasted good! 😈
I am doubled over in pain to the point that the heating pad's not helping, aspirin's not helping, and I desperately need some sleep. If I thought that beating my head against a brick wall would help, I'd try that. We're having thunderstorms right now. Maybe if I go outside I can get struck by lightning!

it is incredibly painful, my daughter had problems with her gall bladder last year and eventually had a keyhole operation to remove it. I know how much diet is important as well hope your ok.
I’m glad you are feeling better NorasMom ! Gallbladder pain is terrible. I had to have mine removed when I was in my twenties. I have a lovely scar as a memento since it was in the days before laparoscopic surgeries.
I empathize. After a lifetime of cooking for others, I'm tired of cooking. All too often, it seems like too much trouble to make a salad (all those different items!!), or grill something healthy...then it's toast and cheese for me. Not at all heart healthy!
hope you feel better soon. Sorry for all the pain and discomfort. I’m also a candidate to have my gallbladder removed and I’m kicking the can down the road too (how many more dietary restrictions would there be?😣)
Oh dear! I often say, "I forgot to think", because if I had thought, I would have done things differently. We all do less than stellar things from time to time, so don't beat yourself up....or your head against the wall!!!! Sure hope you are feeling better soon.
My sister-in-law is from Hawaii and they used to put spam in the most delicious rice recipes… So I get it for sure. My father used to fry spam back in the day! It was a delicious treat.. I am glad you’re feeling better… I once got a dish called spaghetti A La Greek.. which was fantastic homemade pasta with butter, garlic, and several different cheeses. I rolled around that night in agony.. I think I took my gallbladder out for a test drive that night. I promise myself if I ever got it again I would share it with a friend and eat more of my salad… Lol.
How are you feeling, Nora's Mom? I am behind on the thread. Sorry for the late reply. Thankfully, having that gallbladder removed is a quick recovery. (if it comes to that).
I'm fine now. Thank you! I even managed to go to our local Chinese buffet the other day, ate 2 plates full of food, and had no issues the rest of the day. I don't recommend doing that often, though. 😀
