Any thoughts on AFib (+clots) and blood thinners?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this pls...I have a Pulmonary
embolism
and right atrium thrombus in October and since then i’ve also have atrial fibrillation. So i’m on daily heparin (tinzaparin) injections. I’m 35, and I was told i might have to stay on the blood thinners for life.

Probable phlebitis
Hi everyone,I went to Minor Injuries today because last night I suddenly had a pain and redness on the outside of my ankle. The practitioner I saw said it looked like phlebitis, which is no problem for "normal" people but he wasn't sure about people with MPNs. He was great and I can go back any time,

Side effects of Apixaban?
I used to take rivaroxaban 2mgs per day, but after a big op for hallus vegus and straightening claw toes I had a bleed behind my kneecap. Came off all anticoags until my knee/leg subsided; that took 3 months before it felt & looked normal again. Now I am just taking 5mgs of Apixaban daily. I notice that

Eliquis/Coumadin
In 2012 I had a pulmonary
embolism
and bloodwork showed APS. I was placed on Coumadin with a recommended INR of 2.5-3.5 I had a difficult time remaining therapeutic on Coumadin and ranged from 1.0-6.5 and my hematologist switched me to Eliquis 2 years ago.

ResearchResearch points to possible target to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF/
Long-held dogma says lung fibrosis in diseases like idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF, results from recurrent injury to alveolar epithelium that is followed by dysregulated repair. Research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham uproots that paradigm, and it suggests a possible treatment target

I'm BACK!
Not to mention the fact that there was a massive heatwave, which was what I assumed was the cause of my symptoms. 1st August 2019: had abnormal ECG, spent 2 days in hospital, was diagnosed with pulmonary
embolism
and spent two weeks on bed rest and a further 4 off work November 2019: tentatively recommenced

Depo inj vs prostap
Hello everyone, I was wondering what the difference is between the depo provera injection and the prostap? I'm aware the depo provera is a contraceptive and the prostap is not but that's about it. Is there one that's better for endo than the other? I'm due for my 2nd depo injection at the end of the

I have been diagnosed with Afib following a massive pulmonary

in April this year. Echo cardiogram shows no lasting heart damage ("surprisingly" the technician has put!) but all EKG tests show Afib present at all times.
