New here and struggling with caring for parents
Various issues, including alcoholism and liver failure, fractured and compacted discs, pulmonary
embolism
, cardiomyopathy, breast cancer and severe depression in both. This affected me deeply (although not outwardly, I think) and I developed my own issues with anxiety, issues with food etc.

Recovery after PE is more than possible
13.05.2016 (Friday the 13th) Diagnosed with Massive Bilateral Pulmonary
Embolism
approximately two weeks after getting big bruises on legs during a motorcycle accident (at that time I was not aware I had protein S deficiency that in combination with bruises triggered blood clots forming in my legs).

It seemed that problems only saw and came to my door.just then in October I was hospitalised and diagnosed with pulmonary
embolism
. Great just a week before I was due to fly to India for my cousin's engagement. Why why why me? I know the answer to this question it's karma.

How long did symptoms last after your DVT?
Hello everyone. I just had a iliofemural DVT and was put on enoxaparin for 2 weeks followed by rivaroxaban twice a day. There are no doubts that after these 3 weeks my symptoms vastly improved but i still have trouble getting back to my daily activities as my leg starts to hurt and swell after walking

Normal X-ray and blood tests but still short of breath
I was checked for pulmonary
embolism
(negative) and heart attack (I wasn’t having one) and sent home. The lung doctor measured my breathing and said that I am on the low side for gas diffusion.

Fear of AF Progression
I had a pulmonary
embolism
and presented at the ER with severe chest pain and A Fib with RVR. My rates typically go up to 176-200. 200 is the odd AF out. It has happened, but doesn’t happen often. I was having episodes every three months, and now I get them every 6 weeks to three months.

New guidance on potentially fatal pulmonary embolism.
A great number of guidelines have been issued in recent years by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), as well as by other societies and organisations. Because of their impact on clinical practice, quality criteria for the development of guidelines have been established in order to make all decisions

Xolair
After a severe attack in January 2018 with my family being prepared for the worst when in ICU, followed by pulmonary
embolism
on discharge, I thought it might be good to share good news. I started xolair last November, and at that time was on a vast collection of tablets.

Myocarditis
I was treated for a heart attack, then pulmonary
embolism
and after lots of blood tests, ECGs, x-ray, VQ scan and CT I was discharged with a diagnosis of myocarditis and bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy.

DVT, PE, and EKOS
That worked just fine until 4 months ago when I unknowingly developed DVT, with one clot breaking loose and going through my heart, lodging in my lungs, as a "saddle
embolism
". I couldn't breathe, my oxygen was in 70% range. I could barely stand.

BRAF/MEK combo raises risk of cardiovascular adverse events compared to BRAF monotherapy only
Specifically, 2.2% of patients in the combination therapy group developed a pulmonary
embolism
versus 0.4% in the BRAF inhibitor-alone group.

Pulmonary embolism
I have been losing weight on xarelto (1 week on 15mg 2x day) and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The M.D. assumes the clot and subsequent PE came from a long car ride . However, with the weight loss I worry about cancer. Does the CT Scan with contrast I had to diagnose the PE test

Should I go up for a week?
I have been through the mill (have't we all) Shingles, Post herpetic Nuralgia (still have) pneumonia, massive pulmonary
embolism
, and other stuff. Most of which I think was not helped by the preds. I read recently on this support of going up 5mg for a week and then back to my present dose.

Taking Imbruvica in Spain
I also have Thrombophilia and following two major pulmonary
embolism
last summer was put on Xarelto, but it's incompatible with Imbruvica,so my only other option is daily heparin injections. Can't fault the Spanish Health Service.

Lorazepam isn't working
So my Dr. switched me from Alprazolam to Lorazepam, but it's not working at all. And now I'm terrified. My symptoms have gotten worse and they are symptoms that I've never had with anxiety before. My skin feels sunburned, last night it felt like the floor was swaying beneath my feet. Also last night
