Not sure if this worrisome or not
I don’t feel heavy ness or insane pressure but I’m worried about possible pulmonary
embolism
or something like that. Am I being over dramatic or should I possibly visit an urgent care rather then wait a couple months?

Given contradictory information
I've just been told by a hematologist that Warfarin does not effect the blood screen outcome. He said that Apixaban can but not Warfarin. An APS specialist advised that I should come off all anti-coagulants if I am to decided to repeat the screen. Not sure who is correct and I find people arguing both

Back Pain When Taking Deep Breath
I worry that it could be meningitis, pulmonary
embolism
, pleurisy, and the list goes on. I can’t stop worrying and feel so drained from all this anxiety. In need of some comfort.

Blood Clot from Covid and not waking up
His EEG showed some slowing, but they had put him back on sedation because of the pulmonary
embolism
. I am very worried. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Hypercoagulability in patients with COVID-19
According to an open-access article in ARRS’ American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR), because coronavirus disease (COVID-19) may present with medium to large arterial and venous abdominal and extremity macrothrombi, radiologists should raise concern for COVID-19 when identifying thromboembolic abdominopelvic

What do I do with my new provider taking the medication that saved my life? plus him treating me as if I were worthless..
My mother, whom I was extremely close to and the last of my family I could talk to, passed extremely recently due to... well.. a pulmonary
embolism
due to an autoimmune reaction caused by a politicized virus.

Flu jab before or after cardioversion
I am due to have DC cardioversion in 10 days. Any thoughts on whether I should have flu jab this week or post cardioversion. I wouldn’t want the side effects of the flu jab to bring on AF and makes the CV meaningless. Thoughts very much appreciated. Thank you

VM post-covid related complications
He also had Acute Pulmonary
Embolism
which he was treated for as well. He doesn't have a stiffness in the neck but his right arm and shoulder was stiff back in August. Now it is a little better with physiotherapy but he still can't lift it to shoulder length.

After years of decline, death rate from lung clots on the rise.
Pulmonary
embolism
is part of the broader disease called venous thromboembolism (VTE), or blood clots that start in the veins. VTE also includes deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a clot in a vein deep in the body, usually the leg.

Avoid The Lifetime Penalty
Hopefully this information helps those in the US, over 65, avoid some of the trauma and drama I faced when trying to enroll in a Medicare Supplemental Plan. Bumper sticker version: Avoid the Lifetime Medicare Part B Penalty and put in for Medicare Part B as soon as you know you won’t be covered under

Rivaroxaban and Thread Veins
Hi, I've been taking Rivaroxaban after a 2nd unprovoked - significant, large volume PE in January 2019. I wondered if anyone has developed a lot of dark purple thread veins in legs since taking Rivaroxaban. I was taking Warfarin for the first HRT provoked PE in 2010 and didn't experience this effect

Hair loss
In March I suddenly got a pulmonary
embolism
out of the blue. I’m being treated for it on a heparin drug called Dalteparin and now on month 5 the hair loss is bad. I read that around month 5 hair loss can show on this drug.

Hospital in the end!
Thank goodness she did, it was discovered I had a Pulmonary
Embolism
which is now receiving ongoing treatment. In addition, she sent for the Respiratory Oxygen Nurses and had me assessed for Ambulatory Oxygen which is being delivered to me today.

Anticoagulant experience
As I have developed another clot in my heart despite being on Apixaban for the last four years. it is now suggested a low molecular weight heparin for a month before doing a TOE has anyone had experience of this drug and any side effects as I have an intolerance to drugs in general.

Use of Warfarin or Direct Oral Anticoagulants and Risk of Prostate Cancer in PCBaSe
Even so, there are studies that found that a DVT or pulmonary
embolism
increases one's risk of a cancer diagnosis within so many months. i.e. abnormal coagulation can be an early sign of PCa. Cancer is associated with coagulation dysregulation & it can be an early event.

Opportunity to be involved in an AF study
We have been asked to assist with research into the experiences of AF patients who are currently taking anticoagulant medications (specifically warfarin and rivaroxaban). The aim of this study is to gain a detailed insight into patient experiences when prescribed anticoagulation therapy for treatment

Blood thinners
In March I found out I have a pulmonary
embolism
and a possible heart murmur. I have been on blood thinners for 4 months now. I’m loosing a lot of hair on my head but it’s growing longer on my body, eye brows and eye lashes. Is this the blood thinner or the menopause?
