I was here in search of answers 'coz my husband had a bout of VM in August 2020. Exactly a month after he was tested positive for Covid-19. But his detailed blood virology test reports came negative for most all the bacteria and virus except for - Candida. CSF test also was clear for VM. He still was showing VM symptoms and was treated for the same in ICU. He also had Acute Pulmonary Embolism which he was treated for as well.
He doesn't have a stiffness in the neck but his right arm and shoulder was stiff back in August. Now it is a little better with physiotherapy but he still can't lift it to shoulder length. It has only been 3 weeks since his discharge.
I'm a little scared for him and have no clue on how to take care of him at home or what are the other symptoms that I've to be careful about in the future.
Would love to hear from y'all!
Thank you for your time.

For me, as soon as I feel anykind of stiff neck, or the light or any tiny noise bothers me, no matter if it's just the tinniest hint of any of this, I reach for and take an anti viral medication. I may very well be wrong, but it can't hurt and since my last bout that left me with painful paresthesia I don't take chances.
If he can do the same and it stops the full manifestation than it's a no brainer for me. I take one that's used for shingles which I might add I get at the very base of my spine on the nerve endings.
If the same amount of time and money was put into research of these brain and spinal fluid inflammations and nerve demyelination that ruin your life as is placed into cancer, we may have gotten ahead somewhere. It isn't as "sexy" as the big c. I have it on my skin and it gets far more attention than that which upsets my life more the residual outfall of the meningitis. I can keep on top of the skin cancers but not the other.
I don't take away from the cancer research it's been a close friend in my family too, but there are other things hurt people too. Surely we can walk and chew gum at the same time. This total pile on with this new corona virus has pushed every other health issue into nowhere. It's disgraceful.
