Blood thinners
In March I found out I have a pulmonary
embolism
and a possible heart murmur. I have been on blood thinners for 4 months now. I’m loosing a lot of hair on my head but it’s growing longer on my body, eye brows and eye lashes. Is this the blood thinner or the menopause?

Pluerisy post pulmonary embolism and Covid 19
At the end of April, I had a pulmonary
embolism
(PE). I have had so many courses of steroids and antibiotics over the last 5 months that I have lost count and my Psoriatic Arthritis has joined the party at various junctures, whilst I have been on this awful journey that seems never-ending.

Hi all, I need some real inspiration and advice from you, I have just heard I have a blood clot on my right lung and the doctor just jumped in without any professionalism, was just running off to another ward. I get heparin and oxygen, what's happening to me please?☹ Thank you for help, I know nothing

Possibly just clutching at straws, my GP diagnosed me with AF after I presented with mild breathlessness last December, he organised an ECG, prescribed Xarelto and referred me to a Cardiologist. By February the breathlessness was getting worse so I asked for a chest X-ray, the x-ray showed fluid on

Incidental Pulmonary Embolism in Oncologic Patients
"Incidental pulmonary
embolism
(IPE) is a common finding on computed tomography (CT). IPE is frequent in oncologic patients undergoing staging CT." You can't really ignore a pulmonary
embolism
when it is accidentally found.

In cell studies, seaweed extract outperforms remdesivir in blocking COVID-19 virus.
In a test of antiviral effectiveness against the virus that causes COVID-19, an extract from edible seaweeds substantially outperformed remdesivir, the current standard antiviral used to combat the disease. Heparin, a common blood thinner, and a heparin variant stripped of its anticoagulant properties

Never-ending cycle of hope and disappointment.
Hindsight is great :( He's had the lot - 2 weeks in an induced coma; another 4 weeks on a ventilator; 4 minor strokes, which resulted in paralysis of throat and tongue; a pulmonary
embolism
; minor heart failure. Not to mention various serious random infections.

Coronavirus implications for survivors of pulmonary embolism and on rivaroxaban
I am still not clear if we should be considered as high risk for coronavirus complications having survived two cases of pulmonary embolisms and now on rivaroxaban for life. Loss of lung capacity would indicate that Covid would have a bad effect on lungs, and breathing but not told to shield?
