Prof Tim Noakes and low carb diet benefits
I hope it's ok to attach a link to this Q&A session - it's clarified a lot for me and low carb is how I reduced my blood sugar when I was in the pre-diabetic range. He also explains that diabetes is a more serious disease than people believe. I found it very interesting. https://www.facebook.com/thenoakesfoundation

Ibs pain
I have recently been diagnosed with ibs, well my doctor has said it’s ibs but I am awaiting further tests. I have been following a gluten free diet for about 2 months now, I have noticed that I am less bloated but that has been the only change. I am wanting to ask, does anyone else get woke up through

First Post and confused
Hi all. Not sure if I'm in the right group but trying to find answers. Thank you. I was diagnosed with IBS about 35 years ago. I started a low carb and keto way of eating 7 years ago and it's all settled down. However, the past six months I've had abdominal pain and bloating, worsening throughout

Gluten free diet
I have been on a Gluten Free diet for more then 10 years. Recently I have had abdominal pain, flatulence, and reflux after food. I found out you can buy a Coeliac kit from the chemist, but not sure about it. I feel I should go to the GP but have been in hospital in the past and the DR there said I had

Cirrhosis and gallstones
Hi Everyone. I have yet another question [sorry!] I have cirrhosis, and gallstones were picked up in my last Cat Scan. Just wondering if gallstones can increase liver enzymes in blood tests? Thank you!

AST, ALT high
Hi, while been on Interferon journey my AST and ALT rocketed up high to 64 for ast and 92 for alt.Is this change a concern ? How can I maintain liver enzymes ? I am on a low carb high fat diet but I am using all the healthy ingredients. Not sure if related. Haematologist doesn't seem worry about that

Dulcolax
I took one dulcolax last night at about 10pm. I had 3 bowel movements in the space of an hour, 11am-12pm today. No pain or discomfort. I felt amazing after but it’s now 3:30pm and i feel like i’m constipated again and that there is still more to be released. Shall I take another one tonight to clear

Several times a week I want to share some of Dr. Jones' statements regarding PBC These are all taken from his book [u][i]The Definitive Guide for Patients Who Have Primary Biliary Cholangitis.
