Interesting dilemma
Hi everyone I have had paroxysmal AF on and off for about 10 years with occasional flare-ups. Since being on the dreaded 2.5 mg Bisoprolol no flare-ups at all ( did get some on 1.35 mg ). However been in hospital for a couple of hand operations and my ecg always looks like AF never bothered the hospital

Experiencing higher sleeping HRV after stopping Flecainide
I had a cryoboalloon ablation the end of January and was kept on 2x 50mg Flecainide during the blanking period. I had no AF during the blanking period and wore a Zio patch for 7 days just before the 3 months was over. At the appointment the APRN said my Zio came back clean, with no AF, very few ectopic

Ongoing symptoms
well things continue as before. Lightheaded everyday, intermittent, does not like getting too hot so struggling a bit in this weather and persistent nausea affecting appetite. Our new symptom is she feels front of throat swollen, feels it’s sore inside but not to touch, feels it affects her breathing

SoB 1 month out from EP Ablation
I'm 67 years old, with hi-BP and asthma. I've never had heart trouble. My BP was controlled with meds for decades. I first went into AF in Nov 2020 with cough from the flu. At that episode, it went away by itself after cough was cured. My FamDr sent me to Heart Dr and he did an exploratory look

EKG results
Have just had my first EKG. Just wondered if an ultra sound always shows up something in the cases of AF even when in sinus rhythm. The technician said he was not at liberty to let me know results but I know that's not the case as my sister had one recently (suspected heart murmur) and was told everything

Update on myself
since my last post I’ve been working on the anxiety over my heart and trying to get thyroid issues sorted. However I finally decided just to get it done, I went for an exercise stress test up in London to try and beat my fear of exercise, very hectic getting there. But very reputable people on Harley

Feeling Disappointed
Following an ablation for SVT in January 2021 I have been problem free for two and a half years (at least heart wise). I began to feel breathless about three weeks ago and now am experiencing fairly regular runs of af. I have had an ablation for af in the past as well as surgery to repair leaky valves

Amiodarone + AFIB
Hi. Just wondered if anyone had experienced any adverse effects of taking Amiodarone? I’ve just completed week 1 of the “loading dose” (200mg x 3 times a day). Whilst it has reduced the AFib heart rate dramatically (from approx 160 to approx 110), it hasn’t stopped the AFib, which has become

slow heart rate - should I be concerned?
I developed hyperthyroidism last year and it caused AF. The AF was persistent for 5 months and then when the thyroid function got back to normal I went back into normal rhythm. At about that time I had also just started anti arrhythmic meds and I had already been on bisoprolol since the thyroid issues

Hi guys, in my pursuit of finding what is wrong with me,hope you don’t mind asking questions, just want to add or remove certain possibilities. Good News Today
I just left my EPS office with good news. I actually thought I was having problems with my new pacemaker but the office it is true. Dr Saini kept raising my ECG print out telling me how wonderful it is and my echo was the same. For all purposes, my heart on there looks the same as anyone with a normal

Endo on lungs?
Hi If anyone has thoracic endo, can I ask how it was diagnosed please? I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo following laparoscopy 2 years ago. It was found on my diaphragm which would explain the near constant right sided shoulder pain I have been experiencing for years, and the breathlessness on climbing

Premature ventricle contractions
For about two weeks my kardia ecg is showing PVC's most of the time, I don't know how reliable these gadgets are but tried to make appointment with GP, as they have taken ecgs before but receptionist said I should go to A&E but I feel fine and feel that would be a waste of A&E time. Anybody else have

Good news on a Friday
So after having my long awaited ( much needed) CPET appointment cancelled with just two days notice I’ve had an appointment and it’s been rebooked for June 2nd, so just two weeks from today , I wasn’t expecting to hear so soon . Very relieved to have it booked not too far from now , thus afternoon
