Following an ablation for SVT in January 2021 I have been problem free for two and a half years (at least heart wise). I began to feel breathless about three weeks ago and now am experiencing fairly regular runs of af.
I have had an ablation for af in the past as well as surgery to repair leaky valves. After feeling well for so long it’s a bit disappointing to realise I am back on the af bandwagon. I had an ecg about 10 days ago at the GP surgery but, of course, for that 30 seconds everything was behaving. I’m now waiting for another GP appointment but can already see myself back on beta blockers. Boo!
Not really asking for advice, just needed to write something. I’ll be alright. Off on holiday next week so that should take my mind off things.

What a shame after having such a long time without any problems!

That holiday is just what the doctor ordered, especially if this recent run on sunny, dry weather holds out! Have you got some bisoprolol tablets from before? I'd ask your GP to see if you should take one on an as needed basis if AF strikes, That's what I was told to do (1.25mg).
Thanks for replying. No I don’t have any Bisoprolol left. I don’t think I was ever on a low dose. I was on 12.5mg before my last ablation plus digoxin. Just on a medium dose of Ramipril now. Still on anticoagulants thank goodness.
I’ll wait until after our holiday then contact the surgery. I’m not in a fib all the time. I was always very symptomatic with it and find I sleep badly when it kicks in. It messes with my blood pressure too.
