NEW UPDATE ON BP TAKE
New update on BP take Called by GP to go to Surgery to have ECG and another blood test. Seen by assistant who takes blood. She did the ECG and took blood. Told to wait while she went to see Dr with results of ECG. I asked if I should call about blood results and was told no. Doctor would ring me.

Please help me explain to my GP
I have just come off the phone to my GP in tears. I have been having palpitations and weird vibrations/juddering/pins and needles throughout my body for a couple of months now. Yesterday it felt almost like a panic attack because it was definitely caused by a stressful event. I couldn't get through

Getting ectopic beats really bad all of a sudden, getting really worried why they are happening and what can I do to help stop them?
Hi everyone as the title suggest I’m having really bad problems with ectopic beats, I’ve never really noticed them before but 3 weeks ago I started to notice I was getting them throughout the day for a couple of days. I took myself to a&e and they did an ecg etc and I saw a doctor in the primary care

Kardia Mobile ECG
I am planning on buying a Kardia mobile ECG monitor. From what I have read many people use them, so where is the best place to purchase it for. Also do most people pay for the report and most importantly do the cardios in Scotland pay and attention to the results?

Post ablation for paroxsysmal AF on 25/08/21
Hi everyone, Just thought I'd share my story for some info for people of a similar age to me experiencing afib as it can be difficult to find much info from younger sufferers. I'm 35 years old and I had my first Radio frequency ablation for paroxsysmal afib on Wednesday after a good number of years

Clear angiogram
After a clear angiogram and being told I should not have issues with my arteries for 8-10 years at least. I have been taken off monomil and nicorandil. I am on 10mg x2 a day of Coracten. Angiogram cardiologist suggested this might be an option and my gp mad3 the change. After a echocardiogram and a 24

Aktiia wearable bp monitor
Facebook has obviously been spying on me (no surprise!) and has suggested I might like this gizmo that you wear like a watch and it monitors your bp day and night. Does anyone have any experience of it and if it is respected in medical circles? (A family member with afib was told the Kardia ecg monitor

So ive just arrived back home after being sat in A&E since 12:30. I went up there because I'm having very frequent ectopic beats, like all day. This has happened a few times now. Been on 1.25mg bisoprolol for 3 months. Before that i was on 2.5mg and still having ectopic beats. So A&E did bloods which

Cardioversion or Ablation? Or Neither?
This is my first post here! First, some background: I was diagnosed with AF at the end of June 2021 when I went in for a hernia operation and they did an EKG. It came as a total surprise. I’m asymptomatic. My average heart rate is around 68-75 bpm. My AF is persistent. I wore a Zio patch for 14

I will start off by saying I was diagnosed with GERD years ago and put on Omeprazole which was a life saver. This time round I've been on the Omeprazole about 4 weeks and although

Pain by left ribs
I have had worsening pain and swelling by my left ribs since having pericarditis and an effusion . I saw my gp and she said it could just be that my chest is more prominent that side . It’s so bad now that I have started using voltarol gel along with strong pain relief to try to sleep, if I lean forward

AF and the following after effects
Hi everyone, This is my first post and I just wanted to see if anyone has an opinion on using the mobile ecg devices that are now available such as the Kardia 6L etc… I have had AF for a while now, it started after I’d had pericarditis, mostly it didn’t last too long and didn’t cause me too much of

Levo being reduced and beta blocker started.
Gp rang me this evening as ecg done on Monday shows some small anomalies. Is concerned by my constant high heart rate and obviously my low tsh 0.12 (0.35-5.50) despite my t4 being completely normal 15.2(10.0-20.0) and t3 not tested. I have agreed to go on a beta blocker but not propranolol and he has

Normal Heart Rhythm and AF symptoms
I have received a letter from the Consultant Cardiologist who oversaw the results of my recent Holter 24 hr test and he reports my heart rhythm as being totally normal therefore my current symptoms are not related to rhythm. I’m just not clear about things now. Does this mean I don’t or do have AF. Today
