Health Anxiety - It will create physical symptoms!!!
I guess it all started about 10 years ago. At the time I was a fairly new firefighter/paramedic. Saw all kinds of bad stuff, cancer, emphysema, heart attacks you name it. Without going in to too much detail let me just say that since 2010 I have self diagnosed (thanks to Mr. Google and my anxious mind

Heart problems or just anxiety/stress?
I have had bloods done and they come back normal and had a ecg and that showed my heart was normal and had my heart listened too and again normal but I am still getting by these strange but random thuds in my chest and when they happen sometimes nothing afterward and sometimes I get stiffness and tightness

Hi , I've recently purchased a 6 lead device to record any episodes and today I've had my first AF in a month . Its a pretty normal episode for me , that funny feeling in your throat that tells me it's probably starting .I had a light meal about a couple of hours ago and that's common for my random episodes

Suspect brugada syndrome
I just wondered due to my recent ecg the cardiologist wants to rule out brugada syndrome. I had unexplained syncope in May and they keep mentioning having a loop recorder fitted. Anyway I just wondered if they can rule it out any quicker, I have 3 small children and I've noticed that I keep getting really

What's the best Heart Monitor?
I have a store bought Omron heart monitor. I put my IPhone on it to connect readings. The problem I'm having is almost every time it records an EKG, it says I'm in possible Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), which I know I am not because having been dealing with AF for decades off and on, including wearing

Laparoscopy pre assessment/BMI query
Hi all, Any advice appreciated. I have a pre telephone appt tomorrow followed by tests- ECG, MRSA, bloods on 12 October. I am not sure what will happen at the telephone pre assessment call tomorrow? Has anyone else had this. Also what is everyone else’s experience on time between these and the actual

Curious
My GP sent me for an ECG 7 years ago. He got the result, showing that I had 3 mildly leaking heart valves and 2 dilated chambers, one mild and one severe. He told me about the third leaking valve, as I already knew about two but did not mention the dilated chambers. Five years later, when I had pain

Was this an adrenal problem
Last week I went to our orthopedic hospital for an infusion to help my osteoporosis. As the bottle emptied into my arm I felt fine if a little bored as it takes an hour. Is there an alternative treatment to Sinemet ?
My husband has been on Sinemet since July and there hasn’t been any improvement whatsoever. He’s constantly dizzy and his consultant told him in a phone appointment that dizziness is always caused by low blood pressure, but last week he went to his gp because it was so bad. He had his BP checked sitting

Has anyone had palpitations after Pfizer covid vaccine?
After my 2nd Pfizer shot on July 1st, I developed palpitations (accompanied by dizziness), and ended up in emergency with chest pain, only to be told that ECG and blood tests were normal, and was given an anti-inflammatory injection. 2-3 weeks ago the palpitations, dizziness, breathlessness, and chest

Constant fear of Cardiac arrest/death
Hi all I'm hoping someone can relate as I'm feeling very alone, I have a fear of dropping dead at any time and even in my sleep. I had some heart palpitations a couple of months back but ECG, echocardiogram, stress test and cardiologist all say my heart is fine. I also have MS, which gives me tremors

Apple Watch
I worded it badly. Apple Watch has been available in Australia for ages, but the ECG function/app was not (needed approval by Therapeuticla Goods Association). Watch picked up supraventricular tachycardia between the first and second ablation. That is why I went for the second ablation. Have had episodes

Pericarditis after second Moderna vaccine, advice and input required
Hi, Im pretty new here apart from interacting on the odd post. A bit about me first, I'm 34, never smoked and rarely drink. I keep fit with gym work and running and have to be fit for my job as a firefighter. 10 days after my second vaccine I presented at A&E with an odd mild chest pain on my left side

How was your "heart attack" diagnosed?
My wife had an x-ray of the heart done while on a gurney with a portable machine. She then had 2 blood tests and 2 ECG's done. From that they determined she was fine and sent her home. No heart attack. With me they did an x-ray with contrast, ECG, blood tests and then an angiogram. The angiogram was

Just had call from Pharmacist re medication review (2nd one this month). asking what medication I was taking. (My OH had to speak for me because she spoke so fast and had an accent). I told her Pred and Lanzaprole. I have been told not to take the Lanzaprole for a months holiday as I have been on

Hospitals in dire straits.
On Saturday evening my wife's arm and chest started paining and it felt like someone was tightening a band around her chest. Her normally low BP shot up to 210/110 and she had a headache. This to me is a possible heart attack so I phoned 111. They in turn sent an ambulance. We live 4 miles from the
