Update on myself

since my last post I’ve been working on the anxiety over my heart and trying to get thyroid issues sorted.

However I finally decided just to get it done, I went for an exercise stress test up in London to try and beat my fear of exercise, very hectic getting there. But very reputable people on Harley street. I managed to get my heart rate up to 180 on the treadmill, the doctor said ah your far to healthy aha to me and said come back maybe when you’re 45.

I then had a follow up with the cardiologist about an hour later over the results and we discussed my symptoms the stress results and he said “absolutely no evidence of anything, stable bp no changes on ecg and good heart rate” I explained my anxiety issues and he was so understanding and is going to write a detailed report for me.

He followed with saying negative stress test, echo and good cholesterol just told me not to worry about my fears of heart attack and CAD and again said maybe come back in 25 years and then maybe.

I thank a lot of the people who’ve been supportive with me here. Time to really start working on my weight and realise all these symptoms are my anxiety and/or other things not my heart.

Hi  Dshadzz07

That’s amazing news. I’m glad your heart is doing well and there’s nothing to worry about from that front.

Perhaps speak with your GP and see if you can arrange some type of counselling for the anxiety? I wonder if it would help. Working on your weight also sounds like a great idea. There are some really great short workout videos on YouTube which I particularly like and might be good when starting out.

Let us know how you get on.

All the best for the future.

There’s too many to post. The name of the YouTuber is “growwithjo”. There’s a variety you can choose from on there   Dshadzz07 and fairly easy workouts for beginners! I usually do the 30 minute workouts.

Just PM’d you Dshadzz07 as requested :).

That clear reassurance sounds really helpful. Now for the anxiety! I hope you will consider counselling (as others have suggested)…..they are the experts.

Well done for getting yourself checked in spite of your anxiety, that took a lot of guts. Great to read that your worst fears are unfounded so now you've come this far I hope it will give you the impetus to achieve your goals. Good luck xx

I am so happy to hear your results! 😃

This is great news!!! No CAD, no high cholesterol, no apparent heart problems—you have been given a new lease on life!

And I really appreciate your comments about working on you—changing/improving diet and increasing exercise, and learning to control stress. I firmly believe that stress can slowly kill us—cause misery and disease. So, it is great that you are going to work at learning to control the stress in your life.

Again, I’m very pleased for you and I wish you the best going forward. ❤️

Well done Dshadzz07 for fighting through your anexiety and getting your health checked out.

It's good news to hear that all is well, and I hope it has put your mind at rest.

Good luck with your weight loss journey.

Hopefully you will feel much better health wise as you lose weight. And you will definately find that you will gain confidence as you lose weight 😊 which will help towards easing your anexiety too.

Do seek help for your anxiety, but be aware that you.may need to try different techniques & therapies to see what works best for you.

The NHS offer some CBT talking therapies - speak to your GP Practice to find out as you should be able to 'self refer' for this, although there is usually a waiting list.

Your local library should have a range of self-help books also on Overcoming anexiety / fear, CBT, etc that you can work through.

They should also have information on relaxation, breathing techniques & mindfulness to help you learn ways to calm down to assist you to cope with your anxeity too.

Good luck
