Pre-ablation tests
Just wanted to ask here brave ablation veterans if anybody had to undergo "CT Angiogram of the heart for pulmonary vein mapping" and "trans esophageal
echocardiogram
" testing before ablation? I am scheduled for my first ablation next week and was told to undergo above tests before the procedure.

Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia??
The cardiologist completed some bloodwork, EKG, 24 hour Holter monitor and an
echocardiogram
. My blood work and EKG came back normal, the Holter monitor showed some palpitations I was having and the
echocardiogram
showed my heart to be in good health.

Wait for Stents & Echo Cardiogram
Hi My husband, aged 58 had an angiogram on 17th Dec. Put him aspirin, beta blocker and statins. Blood pressure and cholesterol always been good. He was told he needed an Echo and 2 stents and would receive a phone call on 20th Dec. Having not heard anything after a month contacted hospital, who apologised

Atrial fibrillation effects on life.
I went to my doctor who swapped me to calcium channel blockers and set me for an
echocardiogram
. I dug my heels in and asked for a referral to a cardiologist. I am not prepared to just go away and take pills, I want to know what's going on.

Need a smaller dose of Levothyroxine after 5 years?
No evidence of any heart disease on the ecg, but awaiting an
echocardiogram
to confirm. For last couple of mornings have felt jittery and light headed about an hour after I've taken the Levo. BP and pulse are normal. Could it be that I suddenly need a smaller dose?

Tachycardia without a reason
Blood results all came back normal and I had a repeat ECG the following day, I was then referred to the hospital and had an
Echocardiogram
and a 24hr ECG.

Anyone ever have heart valve issues because of scleroderma?
I was referred for a diagnostic
echocardiogram
by my rheumy, see them again in a week and a half, then referral to a cardiologist after, but how quickly, ??, but at least I'm hoping for more info when I see the rheumy.

Echocardiogram results
H, I had an
echocardiogram
on Friday and was told by the 'scanner' that she would have a report typed up and my doc will have it within a week. However, when my doc booked me in for the echocardigram, he told me that the results take 3-4 weeks if normal.

Heart failure tests
Echocardiogram
done last week was normal, ejection fraction 65. I am due a 24hr ecg in two weeks. Been on propanalol 10mg daily for a week. BNP less than 50. I was seen by RACP cardiac nurse who has requested tape test. I'm confused? What test would show heart failure if echo is normal?

Pericarditis
I’ve had about 10 chest X-rays over this time a ct angiogram and multiple
echocardiogram
- god knows how many blood tests and tests to check my immunology - is there anything I can do to stop this happening to me I don’t even know the reason why.

I have some atheroma
I did well on the treadmill test and the
echocardiogram
was fine, all normal function. They are recommending i go for a stress echo test. I haven't seen the consultant about the results but was given a copy of their findings today when i went to see the GP.

My Continuous AF Experiment
I had an
Echocardiogram
in November with the comment ‘your heart is working fine.’ Last Monday I walked 4.6 miles at an average 3.4 mph over mixed terrain, and Tuesday I swam 28 lengths in a 25metre pool all in AF.

Anyone had a 21 day Zio test done?
I recently had my first Cardiologist visit (after being referred by my neurologist to investigate possible disautonomia/heart rate changes from 70s resting to 130s-140s standing), and have been scheduled for an
echocardiogram
and a 21-day Zio test.
