Consultation with surgeon for partial thyroid removal.
I've just had an
echocardiogram
..hopefully results when I see my gp next week. I'm still waiting for an appointment to have kidney scan and in top of that another blood test showed I am pre diabetic! I am not particularly overweight..9st 2lb at 5ft 3" and think I have a healthy diet.

Return to life....
I am still taking the drugs but have an
echocardiogram
in June and Cardiologist appt in July .... maybe I can stop then. I’m not bothered as I’m ok with the drugs. Learning about AF was key in my journey and this group know a LOT!

Post-AVR: 1st Anniversary
My bio-prosthetic aortic valve has performed faultlessly and a recent baseline
echocardiogram
confirms valve is well seated and functioning as it should.

Newly diagnosed - bisoprolol not working?
Hi - I’m a new member. I’m writing because I was expecting improvement by now, but it hasn’t happened and I’m hoping for reassurance. I’ve had two bouts of frightening but fairly short-lived severe symptoms, both while climbing stairs, four weeks apart. Both were like “attacks” in their suddenness

Tissue Mitral Valve Replacement 1yr on - and coming OFF meds to use Alternative Integrated Supplements...increase pulse & can't gain weight!
I had an
echocardiogram
a couple of months back, which showed my ejection fraction lower than before I had my op (mitral valve prolapse: 40% vs the current 29%) BUT my private GP says that you can't base much on ejection fraction alone, as it's multi-factorial.

How to fight back against my anxiety?
Bloodwork,
echocardiogram
, heart holter, stress test, etc. They all come back clear, just my blood pressure is slightly high. It's nothing too bad. So after my tests became clear I went to see a therapist. I was diagnosed with anxiety, severe anxiety, depression, and panic disorder.

Pre -ablation questions
My EP said that if he would have to undergo the procedure himself he would choose GA because Transoesophageal
echocardiogram
has to be done. It sounds reasonable but I never had GA before and I am more worried about it more than the procedure itself.

Difference between...
Could somebody tell me the difference between a cardio pulmonary exercise test and a US stress
echocardiogram
please?. I have had the first and have the second on Tuesday but they seem the same.

Requesting Copy of Hospital Records
Can I request in depth information on
echocardiogram
, ECG's and in particular an angiogram, which I was originally told was 50 - 74% blocked only to be told months later that on re examination of the angiogram that it was only mild atheroma and that the risks of further stents outweighed the benefits.

Mobitz Type 2 diagnosis
I’m scheduled for stress test,
echocardiogram
and had blood draw. I get dizzy spells, severely fatigued and my resting pulse is consistently 100+. My primary doctor ran a ekg for about 30 seconds and didn’t see anything unusual. My question is could this just be a nocturnal thing?

Just to say thank you
Thank you all for replying to my query on heart attacks and stents, I do feel much better now and we should hopefully see a Dr tomorrow. My husband spoke to a nurse yesterday about the echo cardiogram and it seems his heart is currently working at 41% effiency, the 3rd stent should improve this, they

Heart attacks and stents
Firstly; I know I need to speak to a qualified doctor, but until I can manage to track down my Husband's doctor I am a little stuck, Tuesday morning, my Husband had chest and arm pains which he kept to himself, I came home from work and he still didn't mention it. Few hours later he was in substantial

Update after developing AF
I had an
echocardiogram
, nothing much showed up on the results, then I got my first cardioversion which so far has been successful and I feel much better (still taking 5mg Bisoprolol and anti coagulation tablets).
