Sorry as this may be a really daft question. Could somebody tell me the difference between a cardio pulmonary exercise test and a US stress echocardiogram please?. I have had the first and have the second on Tuesday but they seem the same.

Also I am a day case in July for the full barrage of tests again which I have been having sporadically over the last few months since January of my first appointment with them. Why are they doing them all again, is it a review of some sorts?

Sorry for the questions just a bit confused with all the appointments.

If it makes a difference I have a sub aortic membrane and am under Royal Brompton.

Thank you in advance. x

At first I wondered if you were outside the UK as the terms are not overfamiliar. But looking back I see you are under the Royal Brompton. I have come across two types of stress test - one exercise induced and the other drug induced. Whilst both can be done with you connected to an ECG with the latter they may also typically carry out a CT scan. All these tests have a lifetime. During my long delay before surgery everyone bar the angiogram was repeated.
