Transoesophageal echocardiograms - any experiences?
The hospital called me while I was having a Vin Chaud at a mountain cafe to merrily inform me that they want to bring me in for a Trans Oesophageal
Echocardiogram
, to get a better took at the remaining septum between my left and right atrial. It's put a bit of a dampener on my holiday!

Advice Please
He's going to do an
echocardiogram
to ensure my heart is still structurally sound. If so he's going to put me onto Fecainide. Any advice/ thoughts please on this change of medication?

MRI Cardiac Myocardial Viability
However the
echocardiogram
and 24 hour ECG have clearly shown various issues, some structural, some electrical. I don’t have an NHS appointment with my cardiologist until May but managed to get an appointment to see him privately later this month which helped with my stress levels.

why have I been told to take an aspirin?
recently had a couple of scans the latest being a
echocardiogram
. The results have came back, the consultant I spoke to said it’s ok but it’s showing right side lower chamber not working fully as it should. In the prev scan I had it said slightly elevated right side.

Echo normal. What next?
Further to my earlier post (to which I had so much support - thank you) I had the
echocardiogram
today. The radiographer said there is no immediate evidence of anything structurally wrong (which is obviously good news) I am aware though that an echo doesn’t look at the arteries.

Heart attack symptoms in women
I’ve recently seen my GP for results of an ECG and
echocardiogram
requested after I’ve been feeling unwell for some time. For background, I have ME, Fibromyalgia and type 2 diabetes with associated high blood pressure and I have been on blood pressure medication and statins since 2008.

I've had a normal 24hr monitor and
echocardiogram
, but I do have pre-existing CAD with 5 stents. Since the 1st episode I've taken edoxoban and my bisoprolol has been increased from 5mg to 6.25mg to 7.5mg and now to 10mg following the most recent episode.

Echocardiogram conclusions
[i]Hi, I had an
Echocardiogram
on Sunday morning. My GP surgery called me last night to ask me to call in the morning and a clinician would tell me the results. She just read what was written on the test results. When I asked her what it meant, she said she didn’t really understand it!!!

Paradoxical Embolism
So in September I suffered a heart attack out of the blue - the normal
echocardiogram
showed that my arteries were clear and healthy and i ended up being in hospital for a week whilst they tried to find a diagnosis for what happened.

LBBB and mild impaired LV function.
This year after
echocardiogram
, I now have LBBB plus mild impaired LV function. Being just 43 with young kids, I'm so worried what my future holds, will I be around long enough for my kids is what's going through my head daily.

myocarditis or something else?
Hi, I had elevated BNP test result back in May followed by an
echocardiogram
which the consultant described as ‘not normal’. Based on my symptoms (breathlessness, chest pain, palpitations) he diagnosed myocarditis. I’m on beta blockers but the symptoms have not gone away.
