Afib on Ibrutinib

Started Ibrutinib 420 In November was stopped after 11 days because of side effects. After a weed started on 140 dose then increased to 280 after a month. WBC and platelets show improvement. Still have mouth/tongue sores. Have spells of heart racing. Starts with indigestion and back of head ache and lasts for lengthy periods. I had this a couple times the past 2 years. My Dr had me get the Alivecor Kardis ekg device that works with my phone for home portable testing. I have had 2 spells a week since February 27th that say possible Afib. My oncologist said I may have to go on a different medicine and had me see a cardiologist. I printed the Jardia reports and he said I have afib. He didn’t know anything about Ibrutinib but said I need an echocardiogram to check for heart damage. I have had cll since 1991 but never have had any heart problems. Blood pressure on low normal and no cholesterol problems. Wondering if anyone has had this and what medicine after Ibrutinib

Thank you ..my Dr took me off Ibrutinib today. Will tell me what the next step is when I see him April 15th. Have echocardiogram on April 25.

I also started Ibrutnib last December. I have had trouble sleeping on my left side due to feeling my heart beat even before starting the medicine, but that was the only time. Since getting on the med., which was going very well, I have developed stronger poundings that now come on at different times of the day. I have been to the heart doctor and have now been diagnosed with some Afib also. I take 420 mg. Haven't discussed with oncologist yet. Heart dr. wants me to start a medicine. Not for sure what yet. I told heart dr. to discuss wit oncologist first. Wondering how it is going.
