Potential ICD
Hi My husband has just had a letter following his latest echo cardiogram and apparently his ejection fraction is now 32 (it was in the 40s last year). The letter has stated that he's being considered for an ICD and he's very stressed about this. Firstly, is there anything he could be doing to improve

Tiredness and Angina
I had an
echocardiogram
last week and awaiting an angiogram but waiting lists here in West Wales are horrendous. My query is this, does anybody else get absolutely shattered by the end of the day or after any form of exertion?

Don’t give up this was the lowest I have felt and I’m still frustrated because I don’t have answers yet but I should after the
echocardiogram
. My doctor stated he feels sure that he will find out what it is and fix it.

Your experiences with periodical Echocardiogram.
Hi everyone, Not posted on here for some time, hope everyone is having a good day. I have Aortic stenosis and have had 2 echocardiograms to monitor it. On my last scan, they could not decide to see me again in 12 months or 24, so they opted for 18 months. Im posting today to ask about people's experiences

Severe Aortic Stenosis
My breathing over the past two years has got increasingly laboured on gradients, following all sorts of tests an
Echocardiogram
has located Aortic Stenosis, and it’s severe. Just waiting for specialist to confirm, but it looks like major surgery, my worst nightmare.

Discharged from hospital
Ablation now booked for 17 May as a day case patient and am due to have an
Echocardiogram
on the 5th May. Hopefully bloods will be at the right level to allow ablation to go ahead - having weekly INR tests to monitor.

Well, It's always something new and fun
Well, I have PAF and had a
echocardiogram
the first time in some years (new cardiologist, etc). So...discovered I have mitral valve leakage (regurgitatuon). It's moderate at this point with a EF of 60%. Hope that some others may have experience with this "combo". What has your journey been?

Afib or palpitations?
I've had an
echocardiogram
(all was good) and as mentioned a 24 hr holter monitor. Narrative · Predominant rhythm was sinus rhythm. · Palpitations occurred. · No atrial arrhythmias noted. · No atrioventricular block noted.

Anyone with experience of monosoium nitrate and Hydralazine
I have heart failure with reduced ejection fraction -- EF at last
echocardiogram

AF back again post ablation !
I had a routine
echocardiogram
done in March 2022 with positive news a couple week later in April, my heart is back in its normal state of health from the images, possibly meaning the mild cardiomyopathy was actually myocarditis?

Does anyone else with SLE have leaky heart valves?
Hello everyone, I got a scare on Wednesday when I went for a routine
echocardiogram
(prior to bunion surgery next week as I said I had a leaky heart valve which had never caused me any problems and was very minor when they first discovered it about 10 years ago.

in March I had my year on
echocardiogram
to check the progress & was seen by my cardiologist last week. The good news is my heart is no longer showing signs of damage so the problem was hopefully just a case of myocarditis which caused the af!

Does it sound like cmt or a neurodegenerative desease? My health anxiety is driving me crazy. Please help.
I used to have scoliosis so I took a
echocardiogram
to check for Marfan syndrome. I am negative, the doctor did not notice anything else. It also happened that I got twitches on my tongue. It's rare but it happens.

People of HU: Awaiting Open Heart Surgery
I was sent off for an
echocardiogram
in February and even I was aware of the different sounds being made by my heart. I immediately realised something was not quite right. The technician asked if I wanted feedback. I obviously did. I always want to know as much as possible.

Newbie looking for reassurance after heart failure clarification
Recently and quite randomly diagnosed with heart failure, I had an
echocardiogram
on 7th March. Have been waiting for result as I know there can be several causes. The letter came today: “Left and right ventricles normal in size and function. Ejection fraction 57%”. (So far, so good?)
