Living with worry

Hi All,

Looking for advice reassurance really. My father sadly passed away last year from blocked arteries that went unchecked(unnoticed - very long story)

I had a spasm and was in hospital and discharged the next day. had chest x-ray and bloods done, all key indicators said i was ok. It was possible i was fatigued and worrying as it was my dad's anniversary of his passing approaching. but i should expect a follow up appointment.

Had it through and i am due to attend a Echocardiogram and now worrying. Is this just routine?

I would say yes - every time I have had bloods and chest X ray I've always been given an appointment for an echo. Often I;ve had to wait a long time to get the appointment for an echo. All your key indicators say nothing amiss but even so it is hard not to worry. Take care and as my ancient aunt used to say "try not to waste good living time by worrying about things that may not happen". At the moment all clear so go with that at the front of your mind.

What Calliop said plus: Bear in mind that if they had found something urgent you would probably have been kept in. Don't worry, be grateful!
