Echocardiogram

I am due to have an echocardiogram tomorrow and wondered what I should expect and if I will get my results on the same day or if I will have to wait for an appointment for the results. Thanks

I had an echocardiogram last October and have had another one recently. I got a letter from my cardiologist with a copy of the results saying it was ok but he gave virtually no information about the progression of my heart failure and permanent afib.

Went for an echocardiogram on 20th October and waiting to hear back. How long do they take please ? Still waiting to hear about the 24 hour ecg appointment.

Thank you to everybody who has replied regarding the time they have waited for an echocardiogram. It seems to be very varied, from a short time to a long one, depending on where people live.

Have waited since September 19th for echocardiogram result in the UK. Is this a long/short delay ?

Hi all new to the group :) just a general question why would I be sent for a follow-up echocardiogram when I haven't long had one. 🤔 It will be 3 weeks tomorrow I had one but still haven't had my results 🤔 are they still surposed to let you know results even if everything is normal ?

I had an echocardiogram in March and told mitral valve was leaking. Echocardiogram was repeated in April. Saw a consultant last week and was told that heart function had gone from 55 to 46%. Any morale boosting or ideas would be welcomed. Best wishes, Robin.

Hello, My 24yr old son is waiting to get results of echo that he had done privately last Friday. He self referred as he isnt getting answers via NHS . They will email the report to him and his GP, does anyone know if the report comments on whether the Echo is normal , or does it just state a lot of measurements

My cardiologist isn't concerned because my echocardiogram was fine and showered no structural damage so therefore they won't do further tests. Does anyone experience this or not really?
