Back to Square One.
So my ESR has gone from 8 to52 and CRP has gone from 6 to 20 since August last blood test. I'm back on 30 mg pred and due more tests. GP hopes that the symptoms I am suffering from including collapsing legs, pain in lower ribs and back plus loss of balance might now improve. Amen to that because I have

Another 6 month checkup done
Hi all. I just thought I would share my good news. After the last 6 months of having a tooth removal, a root canal, 7 crowns and a bridge all under a general anesthetic and finally getting to go on our postponed dive holiday to South East Sulawesi Indonesia from 2020, it was more good vibes with all

tinnitus first post
hi all Matthew here. Thought I’d do my first post as I’m struggling. I have had a high pitched ringing mainly in left ear for about a month, see ent in a few days. It’s not hearing loss or an ear infection. Also found out from blood test I’m hypothyroid so started meds for that last week. Apparently

Headache?
Some mornings I wake with a headache. Some mornings I don't. So I add two tylenol to the morning medications. If two hours pass and no relief I take two ibuprofen. If two more hours pass with no relief I try acupuncture. Sometimes that works but sometimes not. I can't find a commonality to

Artane
I was on Artane [Trihexyphenidyl ] for stiffness and within 2 weeks of taking it I had severe hallucinations , I thought the doctor would of decreased my dosage , but she increased it. I really wish I did not do that. It was a mistake and it took some time to get over it.

Incessant itching driving me crazy
I was diagnosed with SLE and APS around 25 years ago ; although I reckon I've had both for most of my life ; I'm 74. Over the years I've had a number of DVT's and a PE and I'm on life long Warfarin. I was on Hydroxy. but was taken off this due to it causing vision problems. The most persistant problem

Are Blood Pressure levels relevant to the Anticoagulant decision?
That excellent communicator York cardiology has just done a video on blood pressure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7V7DssSbSE . This included the simple definitions: The Systolic blood pressure. This is when the heart is pumping and ejecting blood into the vascular system and therefore is the highest

Does anyone feel up to sharing some basic information about thyroid problems with me. I'm dealing with severe mental health issues that keep me pretty isolated. In the past 10 years I've only seen a doctor twice and only because I was giving birth. So at 40 I don't really have a clue what's going on

Long and Winding Road
At the start of my CLL treatment some eight years ago HealthUnlocked was an invaluable resource. I knew nothing of the disease, of the new generations of drugs, of the role of the bone marrow and the constituents of the blood. Administrators and contributors who had gone through what I was going through

dizziness
Does anyone else suffer from dizziness as a side effect of taking prednisolone? Prior to being diagnosed with PMR last year I'd had labyrinthitis for a few months, but the associated dizziness was waning. When I started taking pred the dizziness worsened and I've had it ever since, some days better than

post surgical neuropathic pain
hey guys, I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to help with nerve pain? I’m currently on gabapentin and naproxen and I have been given oxycarbazepine to take when I have “severe breakthrough pain”. However this just makes me feel tired after taking one so I can’t take it when I am working

Experience of others of Tinnitus increasing
Hi All. I have high pitched tinnitus in one ear. During the day it doesn’t affect me but when quiet, especially at night I can clearly hear it. I can tolerate it but my main worry is the future months and years. I’m in my mid 40’s. Healthy with no hearing issues. Does T ever decrease over the years
