Help please..... I'm sorry you all.
In hospital with my sister, her gallbladder ruptured.... I'm worried about her and sitting by her, but I'm having a full blown anxiety attack, I can't breathe, taking short shallow breaths, I want to cry so bad.... I can't do ERs after Iraq..... My hand keeps shaking Like tom hanks hand in saving

Hello to my friends that are trying so hard to give up the addiction of cigarettes. This is Short Breath I'm 61 and very unlikely going to make it to my 65th birthday. It's not going to be an easy journey to quit smoking, and you may not succeed the first time, but the bottom line is, IT WILL KILL YOU

Frustrated:(
I've been 1 month without cigarettes and e cigarettes and I don't feel any better? I was expecting to feel healthier and look better but my skin has got worse and I am so achey and tired and anxious all the time, still getting shortness of breath and headaches and I've had all the tests I can, everything

1 months smoke and e-cigarette free!
So pleased that I'm now 1 month free from horrid smoking and nicotine! Feeling a little better each day....anxiety is still horrible though. Today is bittersweet as although it has been 1 month since I gave up smoking...it has also been 1 year since I lost someone very close to me from cancer. My boyfriends

Improving COPD
Hi all you quitters 😀 I thought you may be interested in this small tale from a reformed smoker. Some 2 years ago, just after quitting after 40 years, I was diagnosed as having COPD (mild to moderate emphysema) I was particularly happy about this...strange you might say?.?? Well it turned out to be

Step 1 - ashtrays gone!!
Hi I just joined this community today, looking for motivation to stop smoking - I am diagnosed COPD, which should be motivation enough, but after 40 years as a smoker and a reluctant retirement a couple of years ago, I have been struggling with a 'what's the point?' feeling about life & stopping. Today

5 weeks (10days nic free)
5 weeks ago I was ready. Patch on, determination at the forefront of my mind. I have tried several times to quit before, but always felt I was 'giving something I enjoyed up' This time it was for me. I wanted to feel better, smell better and be less anxious. I used the clear niquitin patches for 25

Day 9
I never completely realised how tough quitting would be. I always had this belief that if I could get to day 3 or 4 I would be OK and once the physical addiction is done, the rest would sort of take care of itself, haha, yeah right! Even though it feels like I have the crazy cravings under control,

Breath still feels short. Still anxious and worried. 4 months out, wished I felt better.
Hello again. Over 4 months quit and this weird breath thing still persists. I'm heading out to buy some Mucinex now and praying I haven't done such horrible damage to myself that I will feel this way forever. To be clear: my shortness of breath isn't me gasping for air, but rather a strange feeling with

Anxious and worried again about lung/heart damage. Searching the internet for answers, but only making me more scared. Similar stories help!
Hello, As some of you may know, I'm a bit of a worry wart..in fact I'm obsessive about it. I quit smoking 4 months ago and since that time I've noticed my breathing is a bit more taxed and I just feel a bit funny. It's almost like I've been swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool all day, my lungs just

Day 32 smoke free and struggling
I have not been on here for 3 weeks, but i am at a loss, it was all going well but i am finding the quitting very hard. Not for the issue of craving cigs because i dont, its the effects of stopping that is the problem, and i am starting to wonder is this really worth it? Since quitting i started to walk
