Rasagiline, azlect
I was diagnosed about a year ago and would like to stay off Meds as long as possible. But I am taking rasagiline as my dr says it protects my dopamine. Any opinions about that? I’m also taking SAMe for ease in joints and some macuna powder in my breakfast foods. Thanks, janet

Body movements just need a 'puff' of dopamine to get started. A new study in mice suggests that a burst of dopamine levels at the beginning of a movement only, as opposed to all the time, is what gets us going; this may have important implications for treating Parkinson's disease. https://www.sciencedaily.com

6 years of not smoking
Jan 19 marked my 6th year anniversary of not smoking. i very rarely think of smoking, and don't want a cigarette ever again. I do need to keep up my dopamine levels though: exercise and yoga does it for me. I get my "chemical fix" from yoga. I quit smoking with Champix - the Champix didn't stop the

What can cause elevated dopamine, histamine, glycine but specifically glycine in urine? My copper level (rare) , ceruloplasmin, vitamin D levels are low.

Are You Worth My Time ?
I have for the most part stopped initiating conversations with people. I will however respond to those who address me. I would not want to be rude. I have for years now looked at somebody and asked does a relationship with you add to or subtract from my life. I no longer have the ability to have a bunch

This what my neuro dr. told me today
1. C/L long use is causing dyskinesia - nonsense; dyskinesia is caused by the advanced PD - not enough cells to store/produce dopamine left; he urged me to start C/L asap. 2. Proteins slow down the C/L absorption - nonsense; actually is the alcohol which does it. 3. Parkinson is a nonhereditary disease

Levodopa Medications and Vitamin B6
Introduction
Vitamin B6 is a cofactor in over 100 enzymatic reactions. In the process it is converted from the active form, principally P5P (pyridoxal-5-phosphate), to the inactive form, pyridoxine. An excess of pyridoxine is toxic because it occupies sites that require the active form. For this

A PD type? Postural Instability gait disorder
Hello, I am in seven fighting years into PD. My main issues are balance, freezing, bradykinesia and gait. I have essentially no resting tremor, no constipation, etc. with some softness of voice later in the day. I get RLS when the dopamine runs low, but I manage that with a self-directed mucuna’ L-Dopa
