Mannitol

Is anyone familiar with Mannitol? This’s all natural sweetener in clinical studies prevented alpha-subnuclein protein from clumping into Lewy bodies that form in PD patients. It supposedly reduces apha ha subnuclein clumps by 70% and in clinical studies protected dopamine producing neurons i just ordered a one month supply to be used in coffee or tea. Since it’s all natural I feel it’s worth a try

Lots of us on here use it. I've been using it for months. I can only hope it is breaking up the protein clumps but it definitely solves the constipation issue.

I have had amazing results in 10 days of starting Mannitol. It has not dropped my blood pressure and if it did i was ready to chance it as could always stop mannitol. I will post updates on my progress but I feel fabulous. My right arm and hand now work like they have been turned on after a car service. And I am happy again before taking mannitol i didnt care if i lived. Try it there's nothing to lose.

All of these posts are so encouraging!! I’m not sure how much I should take. A tsp twice a day? I’m anxious to try it.

I think it works best in one chunk (in coffee with coconut oil for me). Depends on your weight how much you take. I am 70kg, and I think a quite large heaped teaspoon has the best results.

Make sure you stay hydrated. Your bowel movements should be frequent, rather than explosive.

I take mannitol and needs to be taken in coffee as coffee crosses brain/blood barrier.

I don't drink coffee and it seems to work just fine. I just dissolve it in juice or water. One teaspoon per day.

I have been taking it for 40 days now and it seems incredible. My sense of smell is back (discovered 17 year old son kind of stinks!), and my husband (who didn't know I was taking it) asked what was I doing re meds as I seemed like my old self. I feel much less emotionally distant and more energetic.

I've built up to 1 heaped tsp a day in my morning coffee.

Has no effect on my stubborn digestive system though.

You aren't taking enough. Add several cups of tea or coffee throughout the day, or a much bigger cup in the morning with a bigger spoonful.

Hi I intend to start -are you still getting good results -for you it would be more than 2 months now -kindly update to encourage starters like me- are you using Syncolein ?

I'm still taking it and feel pretty good, but I'm also taking the meds as well. It's hard to isolate what is having which effect, but I reckon for the price it's worth a six week trial.

How is your sense of smell? For me the mannitol made a big difference in that somewhat objective area, but now I can't remember how much I couldn't smell before!

Would love to know how it works for you.

Hi

thanks for your feedback- i am yet to start- My sense of smell is partial I guess. By the way , are you taking mannitol or syncolein and are you taking it continuously - any problem if you stop using for sometime

It's just called mannitol and comes from a kitchen supply store. It's quite difficult to get hold of here in Perth.

I havnt stopped since I started but I can't imagine it would cause any problems. After all it is basically food!

Btw I forgot to say that I have stopped thrashing around at night since starting it according to my husband and I am not having many vivid dreams (that I can remember).

Let us know how u get on.
