Gestational Diabetes
I’m 28+2 and was diagnosed with GD after Xmas and I’ve not taken then diagnoses very well (off work with anxiety) I’m usually very strong and laid back but this has cracked me. I am asking if anybody has had this with their pregnancy and what the baby was like (complications? Risks? Weight?) and did

Correlation of T1D in European countries to number of animal protein containing vaccines is as predicted and EPIT as a potential treatment
Correlation of type 1 diabetes trends in European countries to the number of bovine insulin and GAD65 contaminated chick embryo cell culture containing vaccines in the schedule, as predicted by the autoimmunity mechanism involving immunization with homologous xenogeneic antigens and EPIT as a potential

Hi! New to this Community
Hi Everyone! I have just joined this Community and am also in the Liver Community. I have had Type 2 Diaberes for at least 20 years - haven’t anything more than a feeling as to when first diagnosed. As usual, I suppose ?, it was controlled by diet moving on to Metformin. When I had my liver transplant

Diabetes -warning
Hi I'm 71 year old man - diagnosed with PMR last spring and now tapered down to 11/12mgs pred from starting dose of 30mgs. One of the side effects of pred which doesn't seem to be widely mentioned is the possibility of steroid -induced hyperglycemia(high blood sugar). Symptoms are extreme tiredness

High Calprotectin??
Hey! I’ve had a faecal calprotectin test done and it came back at 1,260. Am I wrong to be super anxious ? I had a colonoscopy last week and am waiting to hear the results but was just wondering if I should be worried or just calm myself down 😭😭

STUDY: “High Prevalence of Undiagnosed Insulin Resistance in Non-Diabetic Subjects with Parkinson’s Disease”
A couple days after reading MBA's timely post "The Number One Tool for 2019" (regarding glucometers), and in particular the author's statement that EVERYBODY could benefit (including "people who just went to the doctor five minutes ago and were told their blood sugar is normal"), I broke out my old '

How to save on prescription drug costs?
Does anyone out there have a good reliable med order program or drug plan for prescription meds? I'm a little tenuous on online pharmacies but have found so far that for things like test strips and blood glucose machines (not that I'm needing a new machine, but at least test strips and lancets) are like

Santa Barbara Cobb Salad: Dinner 🍴🥗
Tonight, I had a very low carb high protein salad for dinner— the Santa Barbara Cobb Salad. It’s my third time having it. It has avocado with feta cheese lettuce, egg and grilled chicken chopped up. It has 14 carbs. for the entire salad.😀👍. Really filling and delicious!😀

Physical Activity reduces mortality in Diabetics.
Patients with type 2 diabetes should be prescribed physical activity to control blood sugar and improve heart health. That is one of the recommendations in a position paper of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC), a branch of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). The paper

What shall I do?
Next month will be a year since being properly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. For some reason I have not yet received a letter from my GP about a diabetic review. They’ve not helped me and supported me like I hoped, I feel like they’ve put me to one side To deal with it because I’m only 23.

Bile Acid Malabsorption
2.5 rather miserable and very symptomatic years after coeliac diagnosis I have just been diagnosed with the above too. The drugs have worked from day 1 and my life is really transformed :) So if you’re coeliac and still symptomatic while being really strict with your GF then it’s worth asking about.

A major symptom I have is ascites, I have a large hernia around the umbilical area. The ascites is slowly reducing with 200mg Spironolactone
