Next month will be a year since being properly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. For some reason I have not yet received a letter from my GP about a diabetic review. They’ve not helped me and supported me like I hoped, I feel like they’ve put me to one side To deal with it because I’m only 23.

When you were diagnosed where you prescribed medication with instructions how to take it.

When I was first diagnosed 12years ago I was refered to a area office for diabetics and they took care of controlling and treating my diabetes and when my sugers were settled I was sent back to my GP for monitoring,this all happend quite quickly.I gather from many posts on this site I am very fortunate with my doctors

If it was me I would be jumping for joy because you can do something about T2 . T1 is much different. Work hard & you can do wonders! Good luck.

I may be classed type 2 but I still need my insulin and tablets and as it killed my grandmother I am told it's heredity my mother also had it and my son also has it all type 2 .None of us were or are overweight.

I have two of my friends OFF all there T2 meds inc insulin. because they worked at it. I would like to be T2. I don't sit still long because it helps me.
