Changed diabetic meds and now feeling PMRy
Hello ladies and gents. I am tired and achy. My fatigue levels are up and I am back to needing to pace myself more. Why I hear you ask. I am wondering (and am too tired to have a good rummage in the forum) was Metformin anti inflammatory? Or was it getting the diabetes treated that reduced inflammation

very high blood pressure
I have had and AV node ablation and a PVI in an effort to control my AF . I was given sotalol and it seems to agree with me. I am usually sensitive to most drugs. Unfortunately although it is said that it makes the BP plunge the opposite has happened to me. I do take a diuretic - indapamide, but since

Indapamide
I have recently had blood test which showed very low potassium and high sodium. My GP says can't give me supplements and has stopped Indapamide for a month. (no alternative diuretic given). I had aortic valve replacement January 2018 and am also hypertensive. My Ramipril was reduced post op and also

A walk in the forest in the rain 🌲 💦 HE and exercise.
Hi everyone, I went out yesterday afternoon when the rain had eased a little and had a 3 mile walk in the forest it was magical with all the colours of the leaves/foliage so it was well worth it. I pulled a tendon so have not been going for long walks but I've had a lot to do at home and have kept

mesothelioma - anyone tried Opdivo or Yervoy?
Hello I am looking for some advice on mesothelioma, I know there is no hope, but maybe I can at least alleviate my dad's condition - he is short of breath, extremely weak and has chest and arm pain. I read about Opdivo/ Yervoy immune therapy (I believe nivolumab and ipilimumab are the exact drug names

Unstable Diabetes, Type II
I really understand your frustration. I am 76 and managed Diabetes Type II for over 40 years. Now is so much more complicated and unstable. I added Januvia, to Metformin and now Insulin daily and eat 100% sugar-free and healthy and still have trouble staying in a healthy range. Good luck to you!

Sweet syndrome
Thank you to everyone who has replied to my erythema nodosum post. I saw a wonderful new rheumy on Friday who recognised my latest episode as the very rare Sweet syndrome. Another auto immune disease. However my PMR has completely resolved. My joint issues now are related to this neutrophillic disorder

Weight Loss possibilities
I am interested in the weight loss opportunities of taking Glucophage aka Metformin, as to the best of my knowledge, I don't have (yet) Type 2 diabetes.
