I have high blood sugar and hypothyroid have done keto before which was good for blood sugar but I didn’t find it long term sustainable. I’m planning to do a keto period again and then try vegan/wfpb after. I felt well on keto and I’m sure the high fat feeds hormones but get concerned about the animal

Ice therapy during chemo?
Getting ready to start six cycles of docetaxel in a few weeks. Have been reading about the use of ice mittens, booties and ice skull cap to ward off peripheral neuropathy and hair lose. Does this acutely work? Also, my OM at Moffitt Center in Tampa has been delaying the beginning of chemotherapy while

Hello everybody, this is just a question for a bit of advice really. What it is, lately i’ve been becoming increasingly more thirsty and going to the bathroom frequently and instantly i thought it’s diabetes. Now my dad, uncles and grandad have all got a mixture of type one and two, sadly my uncle passed

What remedy would you suggest for carbuncles? I was detected with glucose irregularities. I took Metformin for some time, but then I had discontinued it. Now, I take herbal medication to control sugar levels. However, recently I got carbuncles on my leg. I am planning to take liv 52. Suggest treatment

Taurine Question
I just bought some powdered Taurine. I figured why consume more capsules than necessary each day. The instructions say to take it on an empty stomach (dissolved in water, I assume). I thought all vitamins and minerals and supplements were better absorbed with food. Anybody else taking their Taurine on

Experience of neurology during the coronavirus crisis. Asking for your help!
Dear all We have a virtual meeting of the Medical Advisory Panel of Ataxia UK in a couple of weeks. One of the topics we will be discussing is how neurology appointments have been affected by the coronavirus climate that we unfortunately find ourselves in. I would be so grateful if you could let me

Does metformin and Myo-Inositol work?
Hello everyone. I hope everyone's okay with everything that is going on in the world right now. I just needed some advice. Been TTC since mid 2017. No pregnancies so far. Been diagnosed with Pcos. Got referred to gynaecologist in 2018. Tried clomid, tamoxifen and still did not manage to ovulate regularly

Creatine, StemEnhance, B1 Thiamine & Amantadine
I received a bonus container of “Pure Creatine” with a mail order, a couple months ago. I decided to go to the internet to see what it was used for and was surprised to see claims that some people feel it has been helpful for PwP. I use an electrolyte drink mix recommended by my primary care doctor.

Metformin just private?
I have PCOS and for my new round of IVF I was asked to take Metformin to reduce the risk of overstimulation. My fertility clinic sent a letter to my GP to put me on Metformin and get the bloodwork for it done beforehand. Now my GP said they will just do the (necessary) blood work if I pay for it privately

Legs Edema Swollen
Both my legs from the knee down have felt swollen. The cat scratch on my leg and no blood but a clear fluid. I showed wife and she diagnosed edema. She called ER to ask do I need to have it looked at. She got cut off. So looking at webmd, not to worry. I had just started walks in the mornings, I'll continue

I’m not Diabetic and normally suffer from low blood sugar if anything else, but since I’ve been on Pregablin I noted that when I’ve checked my blood sugars it’s higher

Headaches
Past couple of nights this week I’ve had severe agonising headaches before bed and I am sleep deprived as been crying myself to sleep with the amount of pain I’ve been in. The pain is also in the jaw and around the eye area which is very sensitive. Taking medication which doctor prescribed me to take

Is massage therapy treatment effective for back pain?
Hey there, I'm from Thornhill, and I'm here to get suggestions from you guys. Has anyone tried massage therapy treatment? I had met with an accident a few months back. There were only some minor injuries, and it's getting better with time. But my back pain is unbearable. I'm stressed due to this. Recently

Appetite
Anyone experienced similar to me? I went on a very low carb, adequate protein (around 100g per day) and high fat diet almost twelve months ago. Didn’t really exercise until beginning C25K two weeks ago. Here’s the point. I’ve found now I’m eating less. The exercise has taken my appetite away. I was already

Sound familiar?
Hi everyone My name is Donna and I'm 51 years old. About 3 years ago I began to have trouble with both my legs. The symptoms have worsened over the years, however I do have periods of respite. The symptoms that I have mainly seem to happen when I'm sitting or lying down. I immediately get mild pins

2 Compounds Show Ability to Protect Neurons, Raise Dopamine Levels
"Two compounds with hormone-like effects — prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) and prostaglandin A1 (PGA1) — may help to increase dopamine levels in the brain and slow Parkinson’s progression by activating a protein, called Nurr1, that supports dopaminergic neurons, a study reports." https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com
