Hello everyone. I hope everyone's okay with everything that is going on in the world right now. I just needed some advice. Been TTC since mid 2017. No pregnancies so far. Been diagnosed with Pcos. Got referred to gynaecologist in 2018. Tried clomid, tamoxifen and still did not manage to ovulate regularly. Finally in march this year, i had a surgery called ovarian drilling and then back on clomid after the surgery. That cycle was the first time in a very long time that i ovulated. But since that cycle I have had no periods. I have an appointment this week and I am going to ask my consultant about prescribing me metformin since I have PCOS. Many girls that have pcos have said their cycles have regulated since starting metformin. I just want to know what are your thoughts on metformin have you tried it and had success? Also someone suggested I should start taking Myo-Inositol to regulate my cycles. I have inserted a picture of it. Please let me know your thoughts.

Baby dust to all that are TTC, I know how difficult this can be x x x

Hey! I’ve been in the same boat as you. So the drilling and clomid didn’t work for me and I haven’t tried metformin and was told I didn’t need it. I also have PCOS. I do use Myo inositol but this was suggested by an IVF consultant not my gynaecologist at my local hospital. It seems to help me more with my control with sugar and weight and I have had very light periods but they are every 60-100 days but this is better than none! We are now currently on the IVF train but good luck with your journey! Xx

Hello, sorry this isn’t a more positive reply but I felt I should contribute. I have been taking both religiously since January since finding out I have PCOS. I haven’t started ovulating again but I do think my weight has stabilised slightly although I am not overweight. Clomid didn’t work for me either but I am going into my 4th round of IVF and I feel both won’t be doing me any harm so worth taking daily. If I do eventually notice any additional changes, I will be sure to share just in case it helps.

Good luck xx

Hi thanks for replying. I have heard mixed reviews on it but will confirm with my doctor this week whether it's worth me taking it. Please do let me know. And good luck xx
