Prescribed Diamox, on pred, not feeling good
Hi. I’m currently stable for PMR on 8mg. I have macula odeama in one eye, the last ozurdex injection was in December. Check up on Thursday showed no odeama and the retina is holding but pressure was up to 33. Dr prescribed Diamex, with Diffu X to protect potassium, and additional drops. I took 2 x 250mg

Prednisone and Diabetes ...
Has anyone become diabetic from taking prednisone? I am on a low dose, alternating between 5mg and 2.5mg . My recent blood work indicated that I am now pre diabetic. My BMI is 24.5 and I rarely eat complex carbs, never drink alcoholic beverages or carbonate sodas. I am very careful with my diet. I

Any suggestions?
Last September I experienced extremely cold feet, even though they were warm to the touch. Pain, tingling, and a tapping-like sensation moved up my legs. My GP referred me and I saw a consultant for an initial consultation who lined up tests, including MRI, etc. I had EMG and NCS tests yesterday (Friday

Pudendal nerve entrapment
Hi, has anyone been to see Specialist pelvic expert Madalina Grigore at Sayer Clinic: Kensington? I am so desperate to rid myself of this awful pudendal nerve pain (7 years now). It will be costly going to this clinic but if they can help me get rid of this pain, then it will be money well spent. Unfortunately

Joint pain and neuropathy at night making it very difficult to sleep - any suggestions?
I’ve been experiencing a lot of joint pain and neuropathy symptoms at night. It’s making sleeping very difficult. I fall asleep in pain (due only to pure exhaustion) and I am woken up every morning by the same pain. Any suggestions for what to do? I need to be able to sleep. It’s horrible.

Hi everyone. I'm Paul from Birmingham. I'm new to this group. Following recent bloods (I have RA) my Rheumatology nurse called me and advised that I was pre diabetic. She told me about a low carb diet and sent me some information to get me started. I was quite alarmed by the diagnosis and decided to

Hubby has been having a bad patch lately with symptoms deteriorating so we decided to try increasing his madopar from 3 1/2 x 50/12.5 tablets to 5 but he couldn’t tolerate the extra (usual extra rigidity and suicidal thinking) so reduced back to 4 1/2. Hashimotos Disease and Diabetes type 2
I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes type 2. I’m active, not overweight and eat a very healthy diet. I understand that a side effect of Levothyroxine could possibly be responsible for glucose resistance. Does anyone have any further information? 🦋

Potential Potency of Methotrexate taken by Metoject.
Firstly apologies for a convoluted question. I am taking 7.5mg of methotrexate by Metoject, the nurse who instructed me advised that this method could increase the potency significantly as it goes straight into the blood stream rather than being metabolised as tablets are. As my rheumatologist has told

Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Parkinson’s Disease—Near-Infrared Photobiomodulation as a Potential Therapeutic Strategy
This article references the 830 nm near infrared that is in the inexpensive red light hat I posted about earlier. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnagi.2020.00089/full The red light LEDs are 660 nm and the article references 670 nm, but hey it's half of them that are to the nm. https
