I should be taking creatine monohydrate as I am osteoporotic I asked my medical oncologist about taking creatine monohydrate and he was against it believing that creatine monohydrate would rise my DHT levels and that would be dangerous.
If someone could convince me that it will not be dangerous for me I would like to take it.
I have been taking it for many years to boost muscle growth, was approved by my MO along with BCCA's. Have not had any adverse affects, but have had great muscle growth using it and other supplements with my workouts. Not exactly scientific
I have not looked at this recently, but I do take creatine monohydrate before exercise. Because of occasional ER visits due to hematuria, I know that creatine is a precurser of creatinine and if I have had any creatine recently the ER gets quite excited about finding the creatinine in my blood, but it soon washes out and they calm down.

I mix it in with other powders in a shaker cup or when I make a drink with seeds and nuts which is blended to increase absorption, I add it to the blended drink.
This may not be applicable if you are on androgen deprivation therapy. With no circulating T, then no DHT is formed. After long term ADT, cancer cells develop the ability to synthesize steroids, so it may be relevant then. Has to be researched. Cheers, Phil
I have been adding 4-5 grams to my cereal every morning for the last 4 years or so. I add it primarily to slow muscle loss and perhaps the stimulate/maintain the immune system. I have not had any adverse reactions or consequences. It has helped me maintain my strength and stamina. Cheers, Phil
