Hi. I’m currently stable for PMR on 8mg. I have macula odeama in one eye, the last ozurdex injection was in December. Check up on Thursday showed no odeama and the retina is holding but pressure was up to 33. Dr prescribed Diamex, with Diffu X to protect potassium, and additional drops.
I took 2 x 250mg Diamox yesterday but am not feeling good this morning. Weak, wobbly, nauseous, headache and my tinnitus is really bad. I think I should stop this drug. Does anyone else have similar experience? I have my next pressure test on Friday by the way.

suggests they are expected adverse effects and only if they persist are anything to worry about. I hate starting a new drug on a Friday - no-one to ask at the weekend!
Thanks Pro. You’re right about Fridays! Tingling in feet and fingers started about half an hour after I posted - another common adverse effect. Still not feeling brilliant but everything but the tinnitus has calmed down so am going to try half doses which the doc said I could do. Most important is to get the eye pressure down.
Agree, quite stressful starting a new drug on a Friday! You do give sensible advice Pro. It’s hard not to panic when you don’t know what’s going on in your body.
