Radiation CAT scan mapping
I’m starting radiation and scheduled for CAT scan mapping of pelvic floor. Any advice on how to ensure maximum accuracy of this process? The clinic wants me to take gas-x and milk of magnesia a week prior. Assume this is to prevent full bowels to ensure that the mapping is accurate and won’t affect

Breakthrough episode (Update)
My EP only put me on a miniscule dosage of sotalol as I was doing it out of hospital and couldn't be directly monitored (40mg twice a day). I feel 1000 times better, no kidding, since starting the sotalol even at this low dose. No more daily PVCs, no more extreme fatigue. After checking my QTC to

Intermittent fasting
I am on the O&V program although am now only taking venetoclax (400 mg daily). I am also a type 2 diabetic and am considering doing intermittent fasting. Is that a good idea?

Hashimotos Disease and Diabetes type 2
I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes type 2. I’m active, not overweight and eat a very healthy diet. I understand that a side effect of Levothyroxine could possibly be responsible for glucose resistance. Does anyone have any further information? 🦋

Metformin
My husband is nearly 86. He is on 12mg of Prednisolone. Now he has been diagnosed with a blood sugar level of 7.9. He has been prescribed Metformin, and is very frightened , because of the possible side effects. Can anyone tell me if it always happens please?

Plant Sterols.
Is it safe to take plant sterols with levothyroxine? I've been told my cholesterol is high, it's 6.1 and my GP wants me to take Statins. I am not happy about this as I feel sure they will upset my IBS so I wondered if plant sterols were compatible with levothyroxine.

Urine Calcium Test tips?
As my GP has me down as a hypochondriac malingerer I need some evidence to force testing of calcium properly. I can’t afford a £150 6 hour round trip London clinic test so some internet research led me to a £25 set of 10 dipsticks. I’m ready for the ‘waste of time’ responses and see an endo responses

Non diabetic hypoglycemia and hypothyroidism
As part of the Zoe Health Test I have a continuous blood glucose monitor for 2 weeks. I'm only on Day 3 of it but It's fascinating! I have had several episodes of below range blood glucose. Most significantly last night from 2am until I had my morning brew with sugar and it's come back into range now

Anti-MAG peripheral neuropathy
Has anybody been diagnosed with Anti-MAG peripheral neuropathy? I was told I had this yesterday by letter from my Neurologist after many blood tests and nerve conduction tests. Must admit I am really scared as apparently it is a rare form of neuropathy. Has anybody heard of it?

Inflammation of the toe
I’m 75, with AF, and have been suffering from a red , and painful middle toe for a number of days. Exercise is impossible, and I normally do a lot of walking, golf etc., so I’m not happy. I don’t think it’s gout - I’m not a drinker, or overweight. It’s worse at night, but is gradually responding to

Foot Neuropathy
Hello Warriors. Please let me say how much I appreciate all of your input to my questions about our battle against the beast. My question today has to do with the neuropathy I have in my feet that began after I completed my chemo in May of 2021. I am taking seven pills of gabapentin a day for total

how much is enough
with stage 3 kidney and conflicting up and down numbers I know I have to stay hydrated. I take a blood pressure pill with. A diuretic because my ankles swell. So it takes off a little water. My question is how much should I be drinking. I’ve been told u can drink too much.

What's in a word?
Health care in the UK has seen a change in the last couple of years. Patients with one or more long term conditions are now asked about their experiences and how they would like to be treated. Carers are also consulted. Well done to all the organisations and Universities that go that extra mile, you

Multivitamins when it’s impractical/not possible to take several a day
I know multivitamins aren’t a good idea but I have an elderly friend who’s elderly sister is in hospital and hasn’t been eating well for four weeks. She’s sleeping all the time and her none-too-young children are exhausted from travelling miles three times a day to feed her I suggested asking her
